You Again

Chapter Six

“Peter?” Aurora spoke, despite the disbelief that was in her.

Several questions swarmed in her mind…

How could he move on so fast? Did he not love her?

Says the one who got married!

Her mind teased…but she couldn’t think of a worthy argument that would shut the wittier part of her brain.

“Aurora…” Peter’s voice replied, it was the same confused tone.

“ME!” Frank yelled, and Jake shushed him.

“You two know each other?” Meenu asked…and surprisingly she was actually not angry!

“Know? We were dating for a year!” Peter exclaimed and Aurora smiled weakly.

Through all of this…Austin felt lost, but not as much as Frank.

One moment, he felt this great bonding between Aurora and him, let’s face it…the way they carried their fictional love story in such a short span of time…

That is some “real-couple” co-operation!

And before he could enjoy that moment…boulders fell on top of him.

“Dating…oh wow…” Tasha snickered; Meenu…still a bit shocked smiled weakly.

A little part of Aurora wanted to squeeze Meenu by the neck and not allow any oxygen to get in with the jealousy that was slowly brewing inside her.

What did he see in her? Aurora wondered.

Meenu was relatively a few inches shorter than her, which kinda gave Aurora a point

At-least Aurora thought so…these and many other arguments went on in her mind…

The fact that Meenu’s  coffee brown skin was never much in contrast with Peter’s …or how her big brown eyes were much un-attractive than Peter’s green orbs.

Frankly speaking, Aurora felt that Peter was just too good for every girl…except herself of-course.

“Well…” Meenu started breaking the awkward silence, “Let’s be happy on the fact that you have found true love in Austin, so that I won’t have to sacrifice mine…” she joked and Aurora managed to smile. She turned to her side, only to come in contact with a very much confused Austin…who wouldn’t be, in such a situation?

Peter walked towards Aurora and smiled,

“I just wanted to tell you that you are an amazing girl…nobody can tell otherwise” he said.

Dude, you got your woman! Quit flirtin’ with mine! Austin’s mind screamed…even he was surprised with the “mine” part.

“The thing is, after you left…I got to know about love…that you have to fall down that hole a lot many times to find that real one…as I have found mine…” he continued stretching out a hand to Meenu which she took smiling.
