Chapter 14

Continued from chapter 13 - Ishwari's suspicions about Dev- Sona relationship are proving to be true and she is hurt. Meanwhile Dev and Sona come closer with each passing day...

A few days have passed and Ishwari has shown her anger and resentment by being distant and cold with Dev, hoping he realises and comes to her. She is cold towards Sona as well, and Sonakshi tries to keep her head down and do her work and even tries to avoid Ishwari as much as possible. Dev and Sona meet only in the mornings and evenings as Ishwari always seems to be around either Sona or Dev and they don't seem to get a moment alone in the house.

Today Sona had insisted on taking Dev to see a romantic movie. Dev was reluctant as he never watched movies before but Sona somehow convinces him. Dev was pleasantly surprised as the movie turns out to be very nice and the whole experience of sharing a couple of hours with Sona in the hall feeding each other popcorn and whispering comments during scenes felt great! 

Sona starts giggling as they walk back towards the car, "Dev mujhe pata nahin tha aap movie dekhke senti ho jaogey aise.. hahah".

"What rubbish! Main kahan senti ho raha tha? Kuchh bi.. aap rone lagi thi end mein.. ", teased Dev.

"Haan off course! Romantic movies mein rona na aye to kya fayda?"

"Accha? seriously? tum ladkiyan na weird hoti ho. Movie mein roti ho.. jo ki real bhi nahin hai!"

"Really? To tumhari aankhen kyun bhar aayi thi? Ab jhooth mat bolna!"

"Wo to tum ro rahi thi aur main in khoobsoorat aankhon mein aansoon nahin dekh sakta na haha..isiliye"

"Wah..how cute!" Sona took his face in her hands and kissed him on the nose.

Dev hugged her tight. "So madam, aage kya plans hain.. aaj ki date aap plan kar rahi thi na? So far I'm loving it!"

"Aage hum walk pe chalenge firr street food khayenge aur firr us hill top tak drive karenge and then we will sit there and star gaze and .."

"Bas bas.. ghar wapas jaana hai ki nahin?"

"Nahin.. mera ghar bhi aap, bahar bhi aap. Mujhe aur kahin nahin jaana bas!"

They were lying on the rocks with their hands locked and their heads together and Dev was silent since the last few minutes.

"Kya soch rahe ho?"

"Sona, pata hai maa mujhse naraaz hai. Wo kuchh dinon se mujhse baat nahin kar rahi hai thik se.. In fact meri taraf taraf dekhti tak nahin hai kabhi kabhi to.."

"Dev mujhe bhi Auntyji thodi badli si lagti hain aajkal. Wo mujhse bhi naraaz rehti hain aur haske baat bhi nahin karti. Do you think she knows about us?"

"Pata nahin, par agar janti to wo mujhse kuchh kehti zaroor. Mujhe to samajh nahin aa raha main kya karoon. Roz usse baateing karne ki koshish karta hoon par aisa lagta hai ki wo mere kuchh aur kehne ka intezar kar rahi ho.. I know it doesn't make sense but.."

"Dev, aap bata dijiye na Auntyji ko hamare baare mein.. I know aapne kaha tha ki you weren't ready but ab to itne din ho gaye hain and we have been through so much together now, things have changed, right?"

"Hmm.. pata nahin mann maanta nahin hai is baare mein sochta hoon to. Aapko lagta hai ki maa janti hai?"

"I don't know par changes to hain aur aapne bi mehsoos ki to definitely kuchh to hai. Aap ek baar direct pooch ke dekhiye na. Shayad wo bata de?"

"Try kar chuka hoon. Ulta mujhse hi poochhne lagi aur main kuchh bol nahin paya aur wo firr naraaz ho gayi"

"Agar Auntyji ne kaha ki unhe hamara ye rishta nahin manzoor hai to aap kya karenge?"
