Chapter 21

The Date.

Alex's POV

(While Riley is getting ready.)

I can't wait any longer.

How long does it take for a girl to get ready?

I was waiting in my car for her for what seemed like 20 min.

What is she doing?

I open my car door and get out of my car and walk up to her house.

I knock on the door and her parents let me in. Since when are her parents here?

"Oh hi! You must be Alex! She'll be out any second now!" Riley's mom said.

"Thank you!" I say.

She gives me a wide smile and goes to the kitchen. What am I supposed to do now?

I try to make myself busy by looking at the decorations around the house.

Finally I hear footsteps coming down the stairs. Lets hope it's Riley.

But of course with my luck it was Riley's dad. He gave me a nice smile and left to go to Riley's mom.

Okay, where is she?

I grab my iphone and start to play games on it. You guessed it, angry birds.

I play one round when all of he sudden I hear soft but loud footsteps running down the stairs.

My Ry.

She runs up to me and wraps her arms around me.

"Why, you look pretty." I say.

She looks up at me and smiles.

"I guess, I've never really dressed up for anything, that's why I took so long, sorry about that." She looks at me sorrowfully and I kiss her on her forehead to show her it was fine.

"Ya ready?" I say.

She nods her head and we walk out of Riley's house to our first date. Oh boy, my first date with Riley, we'll see how that goes.

*In the car.*

Riley's POV

Oh gosh I am so nervous. I can already feel the butterflies trying to escape from my stomach.

I sigh and try to keep my mind busy.

The car holds to a stop and I relax, were here.

"Ya ready?" Alex says.

I smile at him and he kisses me on my cheek. "lets go!" I say.

We both get out of the car and walk hand and hand to the surprise date Alex had for me.

As we finally get there were by the lake, a little picnic is set up and it's almost sunset but not yet.

This is the best date ever!

I sit myself on the blanket and wait for Alex to set everything up, when he's done he come up to me, bends down and kisses my forehead.

"Do you like this?" Alex says.

I look around me an take in the beautiful setting.

"I don't just like this, I love this." I say.

Alex laughs at me and sits across end from me on the blanket, we eat our food and enjoy the setting around us.

When we were done me and Alex put the stuff away, but of course I tripped an almost fell in the lake when Alex caught me.

"You okay?" He says.

My stomach gets butterflies by looking into his calm, hazel eyes.

"Y-ya." I say.

Alex pulls me close to him and wraps his arms around my waist, we looks down at me lovingly and says something I never thought he would say in a while.

"I love you, Ry." Alex says.

I smile at him at before he can react pull him into a kiss.

We finish the kiss and end up both of us breathing heavily.

"I love you more." I say.

Alex smiles at me and pulls me into another kiss.

I love him, with all of my heart.
