Staring at the ceiling.
That was what she had been doing for the past few minutes the moment she had gone home from the diner.
Her mind was telling her to do something, anything than just laying still on her bed thinking about him. About when he told her he liked the new girl.
Unfortunately, she couldn't.
She can't.
Not when her brain won't shut up.
Maybe she was overreacting. It is just a stupid crush on a guy, right?
That was what she kept telling herself, that it was not a big deal, although even if she does, it still doesn't change the fact that it hurts.
The moment Jane started to develop feelings for him, she saw it coming. That a girl like her ending up with a guy like him was a fantasy. Scott actually liking her back was all in her head.
