Chapter 17

I slowly headed up for my room. The report went well enough but I hoped I would never have to do it again. When I was younger I always loved the idea of being on t.v., now I don't know what the big deal is.
I was still recovering from my accident so my maids helped me change out of my dress and into some pajamas. They also tucked me into bed.
I fell asleep almost immediately.
What seemed like only seconds later I opened my eyes when I felt someone's hand on my shoulder and a distant calling of my name. When my eyes adjusted to the light I saw that it was Jason sitting next to me and my heart fluttered.
He smiled when he saw me awake and I sat up. "Sorry to wake you, but I wanted to ask you something." He said so softly it was almost a whisper.
"Its alright. What did you want to ask me?" I asked quietly and reached out to hold his hand. He took it.
"Will you go on a date with me tomorrow at 5?" He asked me and I nodded a little to eagerly "sure!"
That made him grin.
"Where we're you after the report?" I asked. I was pretty sure I knew the answer but I didn't want to jump to conclusions "I was on a date" he admitted quietly "with Piper?" I asked and he nodded.
"You should go back to sleep now." He said changing the subject. I bit my lip and nodded as I slowly lay back down in bed. He tucked me in then kissed my forehead.
"I'll see you at breakfast" Then he left.
