"Are you sure this is the right road ma'am?" the driver asked warily, his eyes scanned the never ending woods, in search of a driveway.
"God, don't call me that, you make me sound like some grandma." Jasmine shivered in disgust.
"Alright, shall I call you Blondie instead?" he raised a brow. Jasmine smiled,
"Does it look okay? I only got it dyed this afternoon." she twirled her fingers around her now golden hair. "Ooh! There it is!"
"Is that.. a castle?" the driver stared at the Palace with wide eyes.
"Yup, and this is my stop."
"Wow. Say hi to the king for me." he chuckled. Jasmine rolled her eyes but smiled,
"That's if he even lets me in." she muttered. "Here." she gave him her money. "Thanks again." she then got out.
"Always a pleasure." he muttered. "Do you want me to wait?" he quickly called. "Incase the king doesn't let you in." he cracked a smile. Jasmine smiled in return,
"Thanks but no thanks. I'll be alright."
The young man nodded then wound up his window and drove away. Jasmine looked up at the castle, it stood fifty metres up the driveway. She walked hastily towards the large iron gates.
"Halt!" a male's voice shouted. Jasmine looked up, should couldn't see anyone through the walls of the watch towers. "Who goes there?"
"Jasmine Holland Jedson!" she shouted her full name. "Of the Dark Shadow Pack." There was silence for a few moments, until the gates opened. Jasmine hesitantly walked through them, to be greeted instantly by a Warrior Wolf.
"Hello Miss Jedson. We were only expecting one Jedson to be joining us today, this is quite the surprise." he spoke with a British accent.
"Scott's already here?" Jasmine sounded surprised. The man nodded, his eyebrows furrowed,
"Why is it that you two didn't show up together?" he asked as the two began to walk up the steps and into the building.
"Um. Well- My parents took a bit of convincing to let me come. When they finally did, Scott had already left." she answered simply. Her eyes then scanned the dim hallway, over the framed paintings and beautiful flowers. "This place is magnificent." she spoke in awe.
"It is, isn't it?" the Warrior Wolf smiled. "I'll show you to the room where the other alpha's offspring are staying."
"Wait, everyone is in one room?"
"Well, sort of. There's a large living room that breaks off into thirteen rooms, one for each pack. Your brother was in his earlier, but I think he left to meet with one of the princes. Jasmine nodded, the nerves in her stomach grew.
"I was surprised earlier today when Alpha Beowulf decided that age didn't matter anymore." the warrior wolf muttered.
"Yeah... Why did he erase that law again?" Jasmine raised a brow.
"Because we're at war. This one is much bigger than any before, and we must all be ready for it."
"Oh."
Shortly they stopped by the door of the living room. "I'll be fine from here."
The man nodded, "I'll have Florence deliver you clothes and a fresh towel shortly."
Jasmine nodded, "Okay. Thank you." He smiled and walked away. "Wait!" He paused and looked back in question. "I never got your name."
The warrior wolf smiled, "It's Nylok." Jasmine nodded. She then turned to face the door. Sucking in a sharp breath, she pressed down on the knob and pushed one of the doors open, and stepped inside.
