Nylok left Jasmine and Derek at the door, and he walked back to his watch post. Jasmine looked through the double glass doors, to see the training room had been set up with the treadmill and weights and punching bags pushed into a corner, and on the mats in the middle, Beowulf stood, meditating, with one leg propped up. Jasmine knocked and Beowulf's eyes opened. He dropped a leg and nodded at her.
Jasmine opened the door but Derek pushed past her and walked in first. Jasmine rolled her eyes and entered the room also. "Jedson." Beowulf looked surprised to see Derek.
"Yeah. Hi." Derek said and he crossed his arms over his chest. Beowulf frowned,
"You're expected in the main training gym."
"I'd rather stay and watch here. Who knows," Derek shrugged, "I could learn a thing or too."
Jasmine looked between the two, both glowering at one another. And she thought the tension between her and Derek was bad. Jasmine cleared her throat and both boys looked at her. "Are we going to train?" She asked Alpha Beowulf. Beowulf uncrossed his arms and gave a curt nod.
"First I want to see what you know. Derek, Jasmine, get in your stances. First Derek will be attacking, Jasmine, you're defence." Beowulf instructed and he walked to the side to watch. Jasmine glanced at Derek who shrugged. The two then stood facing each other, about a metre space in-between them.
"Ready sis?" Derek smirked. Jasmine cocked a brow and the left corner of her lips lifted upwards.
"Give it your best shot D."
Derek's fists clenched, he then lunged forward, he went to swing at Jasmine's left. Instantly, Jasmine lifted her left arm and deflected the hit, Derek then went to knee her side, but Jasmine spun to her left and kicked up her right foot, aiming for Derek's face, he dodged at the last second.
Jasmine then quickly shuffled back and held up both hands near her face. Derek walked towards her, he went to take another swing, Jasmine side stepped and swung her left arm into his back and her right hand collided with his chin. Derek staggered backwards, he then clicked his jaw back into place and stared at Jasmine with hard eyes. Jasmine laughed nervously.
"Please don't kill me." She squeaked. She knew Derek was embarrassed, her mind link to him was stronger than Derek thought. He growled and charged forward again, he spun quickly and lifted his right foot, and as he jumped he kicked out at Jasmine. Jasmine grabbed his calf and forced it down and away from her, Derek fell down but when he hit the ground, he rolled and struck his leg out, tripping Jasmine over. Jasmine fell on her rear, and Derek swayed his body on his back and his legs lifted into the air, and once again he was on his feet, towering over Jasmine.
Jasmine looked up with fretful eyes, she saw Derek lift his foot and he went to slam it down on her face. Jasmine rolled to the side, evading the boot and quickly she got to her feet. Again she stood, legs shoulder width apart, knees slightly bent and her hands up near her face. Derek's eyes darkened, Jasmine inhaled sharply and stood on the balls of her feet. Derek ran at her again, Jasmine dodged several kicks and punches and then Derek finally managed to get her in a head lock. He kneed her stomach a few times. Jasmine wheezed and grunted, feeling the air being knocked out of her.
Derek kneed her for the forth time. Jasmine sucked in a shallow breath then swung both her feet backwards, until they flipped over her. Derek's grip slackened and Jasmine swiftly pulled free of the head lock, whilst doing a backflip away. She landed a couple metres from him, and breathed heavily. Beowulf clapped his hands once but loudly. Both looked at Beowulf.
"Jedson- Derek, either your attack is appalling or your sister's defence is quite unique." Alpha Beowulf commented. Derek scowled at Jasmine, who didn't notice this as her full attention was on her mate. "Not bad Rookie." he told her. Jasmine frowned. "Switch rolls."
