Groundings and Cheating

Dani's POV
"Do you two have any idea how worried sick I was about the both of you!" Demi says raising her voice "First off Dems how'd you find out?" Brooke says "First off Brooke it's Mrs.Lovato-Jonas to you now!" Demi growled at her "And Marissa texted saying that it was completely silent in your apartment." She continued "Told you we should've left a movie on!" I say to Brooke "Now is not the time babe." She says "Mom can you sit down for a second we'll explain everything." I say in a calm tone. "Oh I already know everything thanks to this!" She holds up her phone and it's a picture of all of our friends before the party had started that Jake had posted. "Damn it Jake!" I say making a mental note to kill him tomorrow. "Dani what the hell were you thinking! You know all the shit I went through! Why the fuck would you go to a fucking party where there was probably drugs and alcohol." She says "Okay Demi I know that that's what you think when you think of parties and teenagers. Jake's a good kid. You've met him thousands of times you should know by now that he wouldn't let that kind of shit into his house. Knowing how much it triggered his dad. There was no drugs or alcohol." I say calmly "Yea Mrs.Lovato-Jonas if you're going to punish us then punish us for coming past curfew don't punish us because we went to an innocent party." Brooke says Demi took a deep breath and nodded. "Okay I'm sorry guys I kinda lost my head back there." She says "So are we off the hook?" I ask "Haha nice try. Phones. Now." She says as we both hand them over. Brooke might be over the age of 18 but Demi pretty much pays for her apartment so pretty much she's like another daughter to Demi. "And Brooke you're staying here tonight. I don't want you going out this late at night." Demi says "Yes Mrs.Lovato-Jonas." Brooke says "Demi will do." She says as Brooke nods. "So can we go to my room to watch a movie or something?" I ask "Yea but keep the door open and nothing that's rated R Brooke." Demi says "Ugh fine!" She says "Oh and don't stay up too late Dani. This radio station wants to have interview with the both of us." Demi says "What? Is it bring your daughter to work day?" I ask "Sorta. Night guys!" Demi says "Night!" We both say. As we ran upstairs "remind me to kill Jake tomorrow" Brooke says as she flops on my bed. "Get in line babe. I call beating the shit out of him first." I say as I turned on the tv and looked for a movie on Netflix. "Tell you what we can be a tag team. Two against one." She says as we both laugh. We went to sleep after watching a few episodes of Supernatural.
The Next Day
The school day passed by pretty quickly so soon I was walking home to see what this whole interview thing with mom was about. Brooke had stuff to do so she went back to her apartment. "So Dani mind explaining this?" The guy says shit what was his name um Elvis I think. Anyway he was showing us a picture of Brook and I walking out of an ice cream place and I had my nose ring in. Damn paps. "Well that's my girlfriend and we had just gone out for ice cream." I say "Dani mind telling me why you're noes has a hole in it!" Demi says as I smiled nervously. "You guys will testify in court if she kills me right." I say "Oh I'm not killing right now but when I do I'll make sure to scatter your body parts all over the globe." Demi says like a serial killer would. "Okay Demi I think you've been watching way too many crime shows." I say "Dad if you are listening she has a gun help." As the host and Demi laugh. "Bang! You're Dead!" Demi says as she pretends that her hand is a pistol. "Alright so Dani. It's your Senior year of high school. Huge year! Do you have an idea of what you want to be?" Elvis asks My smile faded for a quick second. I hate how everyone expects us to know what we are going to be for the rest of our lives as soon as we finish high school. "Um no I actually am still deciding." I answer honestly "Oh I see. Who knows maybe one day you could be where your moms at." He says I smile again but it's fake and my mom knows it. I hate how people assume I'm going to be just like my parents. The interview continue and then it ends. "Thank you again Demi for coming!" Elvis says shaking Mom's hand "Of course anytime!" She says he then turns to me. "And you! I hope to see your album on the billboard charts." He says I give him a big fake smile. "Yep! Hope so!" I say shaking his hand. We are then escorted outside by Max. Mom stops occasionally to take selfies with fans and sign stuff. I even get in on the action. Then we get into the black SUV. I'm kinda just staring out the window in my own little world. "Dani!" I jump to see my mom looking concerned. "Are you okay?" She asks I just nodded. "Look babe I don't expect you to know what you're gonna be for the rest of your life. And neither does your dad. He and I were kinda forced to grow up by the time we were 15 and we didn't want that for you. We understand that it will take time for you to know what you want to be. And we'll support you all the way. No matter what. We will always love you." She says "How do you always know what to say?" I ask her smiling. "Because I know you babygirl and I know when you're scared and when you're worried. I also remember what it's like to be your age. And it's scary. Especially not knowing who you are yet. You may have an idea in your head but that idea will change. Trust me." She says I nodded and plugged in my headphones and listened to Roman Holiday by Halsey. I've met her briefly a few times the privilege of having two celebrities for parents. But I'd like to actually talk to her one day and have a conversation with her. I think that would be so dope! We arrive home and I go up to my room to check social media. Since I'm still grounded from my phone i use my laptop to stalk Lovatics. It's the usual "Your parents are so cute together!" And "Dani and Brooke are so perfect for each other" and of course the hate. "Dani I'm going out to lunch with Marissa. Do you want to come?" Mom asks "No thanks mom. I'm planning on going to Brooke's later. If that's okay?" I ask "Of course it is. Tell her I said hi!" She says "Will do and tell Marissa I'm gonna kick her ass for rating us out." I say as mom laughs "Okay love you baby girl!" She says as she kisses my head. "Love you too mom." I say as she exits the room. I look over at the time and see that it's 6:30. I close my laptop and put it on the charger and my keys to my red mustang that Dad got me for my 12th birthday. I actually learned how to drive it by the time I was 14 just don't tell mom that! I got in the drivers seat and turned on the car. I backed out of the drive way and made my way to Brooke's apartment. Once I was there I unlocked the door and looked for her. "Babe?" I ask as I head to the bedroom "Oh fuck!" I hear someone moan "what the hell!" I say as I walk in to see Brooke underneath Vanessa. "You Fucking bitch!" I spat at Brooke. "Dan you don't understand!" Brooke starts "No I understand perfectly! Fuck you Brooke!" I say breaking the locket she got me for our Anniversary. "We're through!" I say running out of the apartment. I drove as far away from there as I could. I drove to this creek that no one else knows about except for me. I just sit there with my back against a tree knees pulled up to my chest and tears streaming down my cheeks. I couldn't understand how she could do that after everything we've been through. "Thought I'd find you here." I hear someone say I look up to see none other than Nick Jonas. "Uncle Nick? How?" I ask he sits down next to me and looks out into the creek. "It's the same place your mom came to when Joe broke up with her." He says I look at him as if to say how'd you know. "Brooke texted me and told me to come find you. She told me everything." He says "And you told mom everything and she's on her way to make Brooke wish she was dead?" I ask "No. It's not my story to tell." He says I nod. Nick was more of the older brother that I never had. He wasn't overprotective or anything like that. But when I needed to talk to someone that wasn't Mom or Dad. He was always there. "Heartbreak. It sucks right?" He says "You have no idea" I say "I don't? Have you listened to my last album?" He asks as I chuckle.  "I just want to get out of town. I'm not ready to face her again. Not after that. I mean I should have seen it coming. She's not the same girl I kissed behind the venue my mom was performing at in New York. She's been distant and she always seemed too busy for me. It's like she always had to be somewhere." I say he nods "I know the feeling. Hey your mom and I are going to New Jersey tomorrow to do a quick show. Think you'd be interested in coming?" He asks "Yea that sounds great! I'd like that a lot." I say smiling "It's going to be just like old times." He says "Come on I'll take you home. Demi's probably worried." He says "Okay just don't wreck my car Jonas." I say "Wouldn't dream of it." He says as I hand over the keys. He drives me home and Demi meets us outside and I immediately hug her and explain everything to her. "I'm going to kick her ass." She says making me laugh. I spent the whole night with her. I practically cried myself to sleep in her arms. I just couldn't believe the first person I fell in love with did that to me.
