Dani's POV
"Ey Lovato over here!" I heard Jake call from our lunch table. "I know where we sit at lunch stupid. It's Senior year not Freshman year." I say to him as I sat Next Brooke and Kenzie. "Don't call me stupid,stupid. Anyway I've called you all here because as you all know we're graduating this year." Jake says as we all rolled our eyes at him. "No shit Sherlock. Anyway what are you planning?" Brooke asks him as he rolls his eyes at her. Oh how I loved my friends and how we could make fun of eachother and not get super offended. "Well we need to think of a Senior prank idea." He says now this is what we've all been waiting for. Four years of torture and it was finally time to get payback. "Okay so we have to be super careful about how we plan this so we can't talk about it here. We gotta plan it in the group chat." I say as everyone nodded in agreement. "Nice I like the way you think Lovato." Jake says as I smile at him "Thanks Bieber I learn from the best." I say we continue our lunch as normal until we hear. "Daniella Lovato please report to attendance." "What's that about?" Kenzie asks "I don't know. I guess I'll see you guys." I say grabbing my stuff and waving goodbye to my friends. I walked to attendance only to see my mom there. "Hey baby girl you ready for your doctors appointment?" She asked as I looked at her confused as she gave me a hug. "Go along with it. We're really going to do an interview for a radio show." She whispers into my ear. I made an O shape with my mouth but then smiled. "Yep! Let's go mom!" I say as we walked out of hell to her Mercedes-Benz. "Mom did I ever tell you that you're literally the best mom ever like who let's their kid ditch school so they could do a interview for a radio station." I say as she chuckles "Not very many moms but this one does besides you're almost out of that hell hole anyways so I figured why the hell not?!" I smiled I loved the relationship I had with my mom. She truly was my best friend. Sure we fight and bud heads every once in a while but we always pull through. "Mom, me and you against the world right?" I say as she stops at a red light and looks at me with a smile on her face and nods. "Me and you against the world baby girl. Haven't said that in a while." I laughed and shrugged "I thought I'd bring it back from the dead." I say as she laughs her obnoxious laugh and nods. "Yeah. Look at you my little baby is all grown up!" She says pinching my cheek. "Mom!" I groaned as she laughed and I chuckled. As we drove to the radio station she turned on the radio. "So here's Cheat Codes newest song featuring Demi Lovato. No Promises!" The radio dude says as the song begins. "Holy shit! It's on the radio!!!" Mom says as I laugh at how excited she still gets whenever a song of hers is on the radio. "It's been on the radio for weeks now mom." I say still laughing "I know this is just my first time hearing it. Stop laughing at me!" She says practically whining. She turned up the volume as it got to the chorus I pulled out my phone and started recording her singing to her own song. "And that's going on Snapchat!" I say as the video ends and Demi looks over at me with a surprised face. "Mom your face is priceless look!" I say showing her and laughing again at her face. "Yeah, Yeah laugh while you can Dan I'm gonna get you back for this." She says as I rolled my eyes at her. "Oh I'm sure you are Mom." I say as she parks the car. We got out of the car and Mom handed the keys to the valet guy. "You know I can still ground you." She says swinging her arm around my shoulders. "I know but you won't cause you love me too much to do that." I say with a smile as she snickers and kisses my forehead. "Your a little asshole sometimes you know that?" She says as I smile "I get it from my momma!" I say as she laughs and playfully pushes me. As we go inside the studio we meet the crew and then I see none other than Ryan Seacrest. "Hey Demi such a pleasure to have you back. And you brought Dani with you." He says as he hugs her and gives me a fist bump. "Nice to see you again Ryan." I say with a smile as I see Tanya out of the corner of my eye. "Oh my god! Hey Tanya!" I say running over to the young blonde who's a huge fan of my mom. "Hey Dani how's it going!" She says as she gives me a hug. "It's going good! What have you been up to?" I ask smiling at her. "Oh you know just working here and living every fan girls dream." She says as I laugh. "Hey Dan we're about to start the interview." Mom says "Alright I'll be there in a minute" I say as I turn back to Tanya. "Well it was nice catching up with you Tanya."  She smiles and ruffles my hair. "You too! By the way You and Halsey are literally the cutest couple ever!" She says fangirling over our relationship. "Thanks I'd like to think so too." I say smiling as I follow my mom and Ryan into the studio. I took a seat next to Mom in a swirly chair as I put my headphones on. "Uh oh they gave you a swirly chair. Ryan that was a bad idea this one acts like a three year old on them." Mom says as I roll my eyes at her. "Mom get my age right! I'm at least Five okay!" I say as everyone in the studio laughs. "Well if that doesn't give an idea of who are next guests are then please let me introduce Demi Lovato and her Not So Secret Daughter Dani!" Ryan says into the microphone as the studio claps and cheers. "Oh we're live now okay." I say as everyone laughs. "So Demi how's the marriage treating you?" Ryan asks as we all turn our attention to my mom. "It's going great! Joe and I are doing really well and we are just really enjoying living together and taking care of our little five year old over there." Mom jokes as I roll my eyes at her. "Speaking of your five year old, Dani how are you adjusting to life in the public eye." Ryan asks me as I scoot up to my microphone. "Well I've been in the public eye since I was 12 but My Mom and Dad have always tried to keep me out of the spotlight so that I could be a kid. It didn't really affect me until I was about 16 I want to say cause that's when I started going out more and hanging out with friends and so I'm kinda used to it now." I explain as he nodded at my answer. "Right well you kinda have to when your Mom is Demi Lovato and your Dad is Joe Jonas and plus you're dating Halsey is that right?" Ryan says as I smile at the mention of my girlfriend's name. "Yes that's right." I say with a goofy smile on my face. "Now you got this huge smile on your face as soon as I mentioned her. Can we get a close up on Dani's face?" Ryan asks as the camera starts zooming in on me. I cover my now red face as I hear my mom laugh and also saying "Awww look at her!" "Alright I think that's enough embarrassment for one interview." Ryan says as he and my mom laugh and I just fan my face trying to get it back to its normal color. "So how is that going?" He asks wriggling his eyebrows. "It's going really awesome! I just love her so much. We actually just celebrated our 6 months at Disney so that was really a lot of fun." I say smiling at the memory. "So did you go on Space Mountain and all those other rides?" He asks as I nodded "Yeah we went on Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, The Matterhorn,Peter Pans Magical Flight and I'm sure we went on a couple more but I can't really remember them all but it was a lot of fun." I say as Mom looked over and gave me her famous Lovato Glare. "Uh oh Demi's giving you the look." Ryan says as I chuckle "She's just mad that we didn't invite her when I had literally no idea where Ashley was taking me." I say laughing "Yeah well next time Ashley takes you to Disney invite me okay?" Demi says as I laugh "You hear that Ash? Tell Demi next time or she'll probably kill us both." I say as the entire studio laughs. "I don't know why you guys are laughing I will seriously kill them." Demi says with like a creepy smile on her face. "Okay well Demi i know you just got a new dog. Cinderella am I correct?" Ryan asks "Yes my little Ella." Mom says "Now did Joe get you the dog or did you get her or how did she become a part of the Lovato-Jonas house hold." He asks "Yeah I'd like to know this too actually." I say looking at my mom as she smiles nervously. "Batman needed a friend okay. I know he has Jagger but he needed someone there 24/7 and how can you say no to that face!" Mom says showing us a picture of Ella as we both started laughing. "Alright then but I mean that's great the more the merrier.  Hey so Dani you're now 18 how does that feel?" Ryan asks "It feels kinda scary. I mean I have to learn how to adult and how to like pay taxes and stuff but hopefully I'll learn quickly so that I'm not too far into debt." I say jokingly "And you're graduating High School soon right?" He asks "Yeah in a few months which is kinda crazy." I say chuckling as I look over at my mom making a pouty face. "My little baby's growing up!" She says pinching my cheeks "Mom stop!" I say swatting her hand away as she laughs. "Any future plans Dani?" Ryan asks chuckling at our little interaction. "Currently I really just want to take a year off and find out what interests me. If I want to take the music route like my parents or if I want to be like a high school English teacher. I want to be able to have the freedom to think and decide when I'm ready." I say explaining what I plan on doing after high school. "Alright and plus you get a year off of school." Ryan says and I nodded laughing saying "That too." "Are you planning on getting any tattoos like your parents? Or can we not discuss that while your mom's here?" Ryan says as I laugh at my mom's expression when he mentioned tattoos. "Ryan! Don't plant tattoos ideas in my daughters head!" She says as I laugh "Yea you never know I just might get a smiley face on my pinky." I say making a joke of my mom's pinky tattoo. "No but seriously are you?" He asks "Ummm kinda." I say as Demi looks at me with an eyebrow raised. "Kinda?" She asks "I want to get Ashley's name tattooed on me mom." I say again joking knowing that's the number one thing that she warned me about when getting a tattoo. "Daniella I swear if you ever got your girlfriend's name on you I will not only kill you but I'll kill the tattoo artist who gave you the tattoo and I'll also kill your girlfriend and I'll have you get it removed the next day." Mom says threatening me as I laugh "No but in all seriousness I'm think about getting an equal sign on the outside of my left ankle." I say "Well that's specific." Ryan says "What's the meaning behind it?" "Well the reason I want to get it on my left ankle is because I'm left handed I know stupid reason but the reason behind the tattoo is because we are fighting so hard to have equal rights for everyone and I just want to get that for every person who is fighting for their equal right as a human being. Because no matter what gender,race,religion,sexuality you are. You deserve the same rights that I have and that My parents have and that the whole world has. Because at the end of the day we are all the same and no amount of money or luxuries could ever make someone even close to being godlike. We are all human, we all have our struggles and so we should all have the same rights." I say and I looked over at my mom as soon as I ended that rant and she had this look that told me that she was proud of everything I had just said. "Amen to that! Demi it definitely shows that you have rubbed off on her." Ryan says smiling at my Mom. "Yeah I like to think that too." She says as she messes with my hair. "Alright well I think that's all the time we have. So please give it up again for Demi and Dani Lovato!" Ryan says as the whole studio cheers again. Once we are done with saying goodbye to everyone we head out to my Mom's car. "Baby girl?" She says grabbing my attention. "Yea Mom?" I say looking at her brown eyes. "Did you really mean all the stuff you said back there?" She asks me as we pull out of the parking space. "Of course I did Mom. I believe that with all of my heart." I say as she smiles. "Okay then call Ashley and tell her to meet us at that Tattoo shop near her apartment." She says as I smile. I was about to get my first tattoo. I quickly sent a quick text to Ashley telling her to meet us there and she said that she would be there in 5 minutes. We meet her there and went in the tattoo shop. "Hey what can I do for you lovely ladies?" The desk person asks "Hi I'd like to get a tattoo." Mom says "Another one Demi?" A voice says from the back and as I see the person appear my eyes widen. "Holy shit! You're Kat Von D!" I say as she laughs "In the flesh." She goes over to hug my mom and then looks at me. "You must be Dani." She says I nodded as she stretched out her hand out to me. I shook her hand and smiled. "You already know who I am. Anyway Demi what can I do for you?" Kat asks my mom. "Well actually I was wondering if you could squeeze Dani here into your busy schedule and you could set me up with someone else?" Mom says knowing how it's always been a dream of mine to get tattooed by Kat. "Of course! What are you thinking of getting kid?" Kat asks me. "Um I uh I want to get an equal sign on the outside of my left ankle." I say stuttering out Ashley could probably tell how nervous I was so she gently grabbed my hand and squeezed it. "You're gonna be fine Sweetheart. I promise there are things more painful than this." She says as I nodded. "There's no need to be nervous Kid. If you're as tough as you're Mom you'll be fine. Come on let's get you set up." Kat says as I followed her to one of the tattoo stations. She had me lay down on one of the black chairs and got a stencil on me. "Alright does that look good?" Kat asks "Remember Dan this is gonna be on you Foreeeeevvvveerrrrrr" Mom says as I rolled my eyes at her. "Says the one getting a lion on her hand." I say laughing as she flips me off. I look down at the stencil and smile. "That looks great." I say she smiles "Alright then let's get started." She gets the needle ready and I've never really been a big fan of needles so I look at Ashley and she gives me a reassuring smile and kisses my forehead. "You're going to be fine babe. I'm here." She says I nodded. "So how long have you guys been together?" Kat asks "Six months." I answer just as I feel a shooting pain in my ankle. "Aww that's cute!" She says smiling as she continues with the tattoo. "So why'd you want to get an equal sign?" Kat asks noticing how much discomfort I was in. I explained to her my reason and it actually took my mind off of it long enough to finish it. "Okay go take a look." Kat says as she finished wiping it off. "Whoa! That looks awesome!" I say smiling at the tattoo. My ankle was a little red but that was normal and luckily I'm not a bleeder like Ashley cause then that would really suck. "Mom look!" I say as I point to my ankle. "Yeah I see baby. Your grandparents are gonna kill me." Mom says as I laugh. "Well let's get you wrapped up and then we'll send you on your way." Kat says and I nodded since Mom was paying for my tattoo. "Hey Mom is it okay if I spend the night at Ashley's?" I ask "Yeah go have fun but not too much." She says as I laugh "No promises" I say winking at her as Ashley and I walk out of the store hand in hand. "Well you got your first tattoo babe. What do you want to do to celebrate?" Ashley asks as we get into her car. "Anything sounds good as long as I'm with you." I say smiling as I kiss her cheek. She smiles as she continues looking at the road. "I love you Ashley so much." I say smiling looking at my beautiful girlfriend. She stops at a red light and looks over at me. "I love you Dani so much." Ashley says as we start to lean in for a kiss. We hear horns honking at us we pull back laughing as we ride off into the sunset.
