Now or Never

Dani's POV
It was the week before Prom and I was out buying my tuxedo with Jake and Brooke. Although Ashley still hasn't properly asked me to Prom yet I had her ticket paid for and of course the school said yes to her coming with me to Prom. "Dude so is Ashley still going to ask you to Prom or is it just implied that you're going with her?" Brooke asks as she was trying on her tux that she looked hot in and Kenzie will most definitely love it. "I don't know yet. I mean we've been talking about Prom for weeks. I've never been formally asked to a dance before." I say as she glares at me "yes you have! I asked you to Prom last year." She says as I chuckle "Yeah last minute! And you literally asked me in the janitor's closet." I say as she rolls her eyes at me. "I thought it was romantic." She says as I laughed and shook my head. "No but I want someone to go all out for me. You know?" I ask her as she nods "Yeah like how Jake literally hung a banner across the school football field that said 'Kayla will you go to Prom with me?' With Little footballs" Brooke says chuckling. "Hey that was cute!" Jake says as he comes out of the dressing room. "Yeah it was pretty cute and yeah I do want something like that." I say as they both chuckle. "You never know. Ashley might be planning something right now." Jake says winking at me as I rolled my eyes at him. "I think you should go with that Tux Brooke it looks great on you!" I say as Brooke messes with the bow tie. "I like it too! It's just this stupid bow tie that's ruining it for me." She says "Then get a tie like mine. Kayla is going in a blue dress so I got a blue tie." Jake says "Good idea Bieber! Huh who would've thought you were actually useful." Brooke jokes as he rolls his eyes at her. She goes and looks for a tie. I already had the suit I was going to wear at home so all I was here for was to approve of my friends suits. Plus we were going for pizza after and I'm always up for pizza. "Alright I think this is the one." Jake says as he was wear a light gray suit with black dress shoes and a light blue tie. "Looks good Bieber!" I say as he smirks "The King of Prom needs to look good." He says "You don't even know if you won yet. Plus everyone knows that Ashley and Dani are gonna win. They've practically got it in the bag." Brooke says as I rolled my eyes at her. "Yeah but they're the Queens of Prom. Every Prom needs a King." Jake says "Um excuse you but I'm the King of Prom and Ashley is my Queen." I say as they laugh. "I actually think it's the other way around Dan." Brooke says chuckling "Yeah Ashley's got you whipped." Jake says as I flipped him off laughing. We paid for our tuxs and then got pizza and then we headed home. "Alright well this is my Stop see you losers later" I say as I get out of Brooke's truck. "Okay and don't forget we're picking you up on Monday!" Jake says "What's Monday again?" I ask "Senior Ditch Day!" Jake answers as Brooke hits the back of his head. "Way to blab it to the whole world." She says as I laugh and wave them off. I unlocked the door to my house and went into the living room to show my parents my tux. "Mom,Dad I've got my tux!" I say holding it up. "Pull it out! I wanna see it!" Mom says getting excited as I laughed and pull out the traditional black suit with a white shirt and a black tie since I have yet to see what Ash was going to wear to Prom. "Oh my god baby you're gonna look so beautiful." Mom says smiling "A suit fit for our Princess." Dad says smiling at me as I smiled back. "Yeah I'm gonna go hang it up!" I say "No!" Mom says practically yelling as I looked at her weirdly. "I mean let me iron it first. I mean I can just imagine the look on Nana's face if I let you wear that suit to prom with wrinkles in it." She continues "Okay?" I say still looking at her weirdly but I handed over the suit anyway. "Hey Dan you wanna play some Black oops before going to do your homework?" Dad asks as I looked at him weirdly. He'd never let me play Black oops with him unless I was finished with my homework. "Thanks dad but I've got a shit ton of homework. Apparently being a Senior with Senioritis isn't enough to convince my English teacher not to assign an essay on a book that I didn't even read." I say as Mom's phone goes off and she smiles weirdly at it. "Okay well go and finish that book!" She says practically squealing like one her fans. I shook my head at her but that was weird usually they'd both go off on me for swearing then I'd reply with I am your kid. Something's up. As I reached the top of the stairs I noticed rose petals on the floor. "Okay seriously guys! At least clean up your mess before I come home!" I say shuddering at the thought of my parents having alone time while I'm at Ashley's. But then I noticed that the petals led to my room. "Okay seriously what the actual fuck?" I mutter as I opened the door and my jaw dropped. My room was decorated like the colors of my girlfriend's album and Her single Now or Never was blasting from my speakers. "Turn around Sweetheart." I hear a familiar voice say as she chuckles as I turned around to see my girlfriend dressed in her Aureum outfit from her music video for the song. Her brown eyes met mine as I looked to see her holding a sign that said. It's Now or Never. Prom? It was so simple but so sweet! My eyes started watering up ugh! Curse you Mom for passing down your constantly crying trait onto me. "So is that a yes?" She asks as I laughed and nodded as I pulled her into a kiss. We pulled back when we heard my Dad clear his throat. "Wait you guys knew! That's why you guys were acting so weird! You guys are assholes!" I say as they both laughed. "Okay 1) Language! And 2) Of course we knew! You seriously think that we wouldn't know if Ashley snuck in to our house?" Mom says as I just shook my head at them. "Alright what's a Promposal  without pictures?" Dad says as I laughed "Act like you love eachother at least." Mom says as I rolled my eyes at her as Ashley's kissed my cheek while I just smiled. "Alright I'll be sure to send you guys the pictures. We'll call you down for dinner." Dad says walking out of my room. "Have fun girls! But not too much fun!" Mom says chuckling as I glared at her. As she walked out the door I tackled my girlfriend onto my bed. "Thank you so much! This was literally the best Promposal ever!" I say as she laughs. "It's only Promposal you've had." I kissed her lips and smiled. "It was still the best." She smiled as both of our phones went off. "Awww these are so cute!" I say as I scroll through the pictures that my dad took. Some were just of us smiling and others were of us kissing or laughing. "I'm posting this one!" Ashley say showing me the one where she kissed my cheek and I'm just smiling. "Okay then I'm posting this one!" I say showing her one where we were kissing and Ashley had put the sign down. I posted my picture with the caption

I then saw her picture on my feed and smiled when I read the caption.

"Thank you for this seriously. You're amazing!" I say smiling at my girlfriend. "Well you're amazing so you deserve it. Now shut up and kiss me." She says as I laugh and kissed her lips as she kissed back our lips moved in sync and we were again interrupted by a clearing of someone's throat. We both groaned which cause my mom to chuckle. "I know you are both adults just not while your father and I are still here Dan." Mom says as I rolled my eyes at her. "Wouldn't dream of it Mom." I say as she laughs. "Alright we'll Dinner is ready." She says as she walks out. "I can't wait to see you in a suit!" Ashley says as she grabs my hand. "And I can't wait to be alone with you at the after party." I say winking at her as we head down to the dinning room to have dinner with my parents. Prom was only a few days away meaning Ashley still had time to get a dress that I'm sure she'll look beautiful in like she always does. All I know is I couldn't wait until Prom!
