"Hey look babe, I ordered that salad, therefore it is mine" the boy spoke with a hint of annoyance and humor in his voice.
"Well, I'm pretty sure I was here and ordered before you. The salad is mine" I grabbed the salad off the counter.
By this time we had drawn attention toward myself and the unnamed male who towered over me. Had people really enjoyed a fuss over a salad during their lunch break?
The boy grasped onto the other end of the salad and to my annoyance pulled it towards his torso.
"Look I literally only have twenty minutes to get my food and go back to my job. I haven't got time for this" I rolled my eyes and pulled it back toward me before he pulled it back.
"I ordered no tomatoes" he bit back.
So had I but I was completely over this whole situation.
"You know what? Take it" I shoved the plate into his chest, the clear cover shielding it and preventing a total mess.
He looked almost bewildered at my aggravated state.
