You were staring at her. It was as if the entire world was slowing down. It was as if the time stood still for a moment. As if you had the time to think about this over and over again.
Not Allison. Allison was the best friend you had ever had. You knew how much everyone loved her, how much Lydia loved her, how much Scott loved her, how much Stiles loved her, how much Isaac loved her.
Her body was pierced and you could see the shock in her eyes. You didn’t know if it hurt. Even if it would hurt, Allison wouldn’t show you. That was Allison.
Allison was the strong warrior, the person who could endure more than anyone you had ever met, the person that fought harder than anyone you had ever known.
Do it.  You could hear the voice in your head, talking loud and clear. You knew what it was asking you to do, but you didn’t know if you were ready to do it. You knew the spell. You had been teaching yourself over and over again how to use it. You had known that one day you would need it, the pack would need it.
You were just a witch. You were just someone with a grimoire and some magic. You were useless with a sword, with any weapon. You were useless in any fight. You were always the one just standing there. Just staring at what was happening.
This was your chance to do something. To prove that you weren’t useless, that you could do something. This was your chance to show them how much you loved them, how you loved all of them more than you loved yourself.
Your lips started whispering and you felt the wind blowing through your hair. For a moment you closed your eyes and you could feel that something was happening, something strange, something weird.
One moment later you felt a piercing pain in your stomach, but you didn’t cry, didn’t scream, didn’t yell. You were smiling, smiling because it had worked, smiling because you had saved her life, Allison’s life.
“(Y/N)!” Allison yelled your name and when you opened your eyes, you saw how she was running towards you, kneeling down next to you. “What did you do?” Her voice was trembling and you shook your head, while smiling brightly.
“I finally did something useful.” You saw how the rest of the pack stood around the two of you and a tear escaped Allison’s eyes.
“Please, tell me that you’re not dying.” She sniffed and your hand was touching the wound in your stomach. A better witch than you would probably be able to heal it, but you were by far not good enough for this.
“It’s okay, Allison.” You took a deep breath and closed your eyes. “It’s okay.” You felt how Allison pressed a soft kiss on your forehead.
“Thank you…” She whispered softly and you breathed out your last breath.
