8. Dungeon

(We find ourselves in the dungeon of the castle. Maurice is kept in a cage. The three hybrids are making sure that Maurice is okay.)
Katharine: I'm sorry, monisieur. It's just, we have this past...
Archibald: Our master was once friendly...
François: Friendly?! If he didn't dismissed that lady at the door, we'd all have stayed humans...!
(Suddenly Beau walks down the stairs)
Beau: Hello? Is anybody there? I'm looking for my father.
(The three hybrids hide)
Maurice: *cough* Beau, I'm here!
Beau: Papa?
(Beau walks towards the sound of his father. He notices that he has a cold.)
Beau: Oh papa, who did this to you?
Maurice: I doesn't matter. Now go! It's not safe for you here. Go now before....
(Maurice is cut off by a roar of the beast. Beau turns to the sound, which is coming from the stairs, but doesn't see anything)
Beau: Who are you?
Beast: I'm the master of this castle!
Beau: Why did you do this to my father?
Beast: He disobeyd me!
Beau: Can't you see, he's ill?!
He is too weak! Let him go!
Maurice: Beau, no! It's all right. I don't want you to be unsafe.
(Beau turns to his father)
Beau: Oh but papa, he shouldn't treat you this way!
(Beau turns to the voice)
Beau: Take me instead of him.
Maurice: No! Don't do this, Beau!
Beau: Wait...step into the light...
(The beast reveals himself. Beau is terrified.)
Beast: Now let that old man go!
(Katharine and François release Maurice.)
Maurice: No Beau! Beau!
Beast: Now put in this boy.
(Archibald puts Beau in the cage eventhough he doesn't want to. The Beast walks towards the stairs and sits. The three hybrids are sitting around him.)
Katharine: Master, do you really think it's a good idea to keep this boy in a cage?
Archibald: Yeah, do you remember the curse? Maybe he can break it.
François: A boy?!
Katharine: Why yes! The spell didn't say anything about gender of our savior
Archibald: That's right!
Beast: Well, where else would he stay?!
Katharine: Uhm, in the guestroom.
(The Beast agrees, he walks towards the cage and opens it.)
Beau: What are you going to do?
Beast: Take you to your room.
Beau: But I thought this was my room.
Beast: Do you want stay in this cage?!
(Beau shakes his head no.)
Beast: Well then, follow us!
(Beau comes out of the cage and follows the two creatures)
Beast: This is now your home. You may go everywhere, if it is inside this castle. Except the West Wing.
Beau: Why? What is in there?
Beast: I said don't go there!!
(Beau's a bit scared, but nods. Finally they arrive at Beau's new room.)
