It should've been us
Shoulda been a fire, shoulda been the perfect storm
It should've been us
Coulda been the real thing, now we'll never know for sure, ooh
We were crazy, but amazing, baby we both know
It should've been us, us
It, it, it should've been us

Cristina's POV:

I spent the last 24 hours closely monitoring Irina to make sure she doesn't reject the heart and nothing seemed to happen which means she is most likely out of the woods. There is still a chance that there could be complications but it is less likely. It is the greatest feeling to know that this worked. So many people won't have to wait on the transplant list anymore to get a new heart. This is going to save so many more lives.

After finishing my last check up on Irina, I left to go to Merediths to get ready to go over to Owen's for dinner. I decided not to get too dressed up since it was dinner in his trailer which was in the middle of the woods. Once I finished getting ready, Meredith drove me to Owen's house.

Meredith: You sure you'll be okay?

Me: Yeah I'll be fine.

Meredith: Alright then. If you need anything please call.

Me: I will.

Meredith dropped me off and I knocked on the door. Owen opens it.

Owen: Hey. Come in. Dinner is just about ready.

Me: Cool. It smells good. I missed your cooking.

Owen: How did you handle the cooking without me?

Me: Either microwaveable dinners or going out to eat.

He laughs, and then I realize that Amelia isn't here.

Me: Where's Amelia?

Owen: She got called in for an emergency surgery. She's going to be at the hospital all night.

Me: Oh.

I was kinda thrilled that Amelia wasn't going to be here. I didn't want things to be awkward.

Owen: Well dinners ready.

Me: Sweet.

We had dinner and then he brought out tequila.

Me: You still know me.

Owen: How could I not.

Owen's POV:

It felt like nothing has changed since I last saw Cristina. She was still that amazing person that I loved. To be honest, I still loved her. Even though I was married to Amelia, I still couldn't get over the feelings that I have for Cristina. I really didn't want her to go back to Zurich tomorrow, but I know that she's happier there.

Anyways after a couple hours we were completely drunk. I looked into her beautiful brown eyes and she smiled. That smile always melted me. Next thing you know is we kissed. We kissed for a while and then I took her hand and we went to the bedroom.

Cristina's POV:

The next morning I woke up in bed next to Owen. All I could think of is oh crap, what have I done? I barely remembered anything that happened last night because I was drunk. I slowly got out of bed making sure to not wake up Owen, I got dressed and I went outside to call Meredith. She quickly came to pick me up. I really hope I didn't ruin anything between Owen and Amelia. Hopefully he woke up and doesn't remember a thing. I felt bad that I didn't say goodbye to him before I left, but I needed to get out of there before Amelia came back.
