Genuine question time;

Why are humans made in such a way that emotions rule out but control thoughts and actions at the same time?

For example- you can't help but cry when sad or in pain.

Your thoughts could be-

1.Stop crying

2.Ow Ow Ow

3.I need help

Or they could be something completely different.

Humans are so unpredictable in this why.

We are so advanced in many ways, but if we let our emotions cloud our mind and intellect, we lose some information.

Animals rely on instinct.

Not morals, or emotions.

When a pack is starving and there is no food, it's eat or be eaten (Flowey lol).

There is no cannibalism or laws besides the ones nature put down.

In the end, only two animals need to survive in order to reproduce.

But humans find it grotesque.

If the world was ending, you become ruled by instinct and emotion, but in the heat of the moment, emotions win.

On a plane, your to put on gas mask/life vest on first BEFORE helping others because you can't help someone live if you are dying.

But a mother would jump to help her children first.

Yes, we are the new generation, but each generation is just another step.

Remove one and it all falls.

Focus on getting yourself safe as fast as possible so you can properly help others.

That's common sense.

But not what emotions tell.

People confuse emotion and instinct because your emotions may affect the way you act upon instinct.
