FRIDAY
.............

My alarm and my mom didn't wake me up. I woke up late. I had thirty minutes to get to school. I brushed my teeth and bathed in fifteen minutes. I didn't have enough to time to get Micaela ready for school. I knew that waking her up was gonna take forever so I left her sleeping in bed

On my way to school. I stopped at my grandma's house. I stood in front of her door and knocked

"Grandma! Grandma!" I screamed

"What!" She replied and opened the door "Aren't you gonna come inside and eat?" She asked

"If I come inside I'll be late for school." I said

"Where is Micaela?" She asked

"I'm late. Please go to the house and wake her up and get her prepared for school." I said

"Okay." She said

I went to school. I got there in time as usual

At School

The first class of the day was biology

Biology

"Morning class you can sit down." Mrs O'Reilly said

The class sat down

"Ms Maria Okonjo and Ms Sam Smith I'm glad you came to school today. Yesterday we started with a new topic." She said to me and Sam "Yesterday we were discussing the digestive system." She said as she was writing on her board

As she was writing on her board. A girl named Golden walked in the class. She was late for the first time. Golden is a straight A student. She always gets 70 percent or higher for her subjects. She is always focussed and early. She motivates other learners and she is kind. Kind of a bitch. No kidding she isnt kind of her bitch. Im just jealous of her

Golden is intelligent and weird. She always said weird things like this other time she said my mom loves me so much that she would die for me. How did she know my mom? I will never know

"Ms Golden Stritt why are you late?" Mrs O'Reilly asked

"I'm sorry ma'am" she responded and took a seat

"Okay class you are going to group youselves into groups of four. You will then discuss the digestive system before I teach you" she said then left the class to stand outside and speak to the economics teacher.

The class sat in groups of four quickly. We were used to sitting in groups at biology. The teacher seldom taught the class. She usually gave us her job and went outside the class to speak to other teachers or she went outside to sit under the sun because 'the class was too cold'

When the teacher said 'group yourselves'. Everyone already knew who they would sit with . I grouped myself with Sam, of course, Lillian and Golden.

"New year, same old habits." Lillian said

"What do you mean?" I asked

"It's a new year but Mrs O'Reilly is still making us do her work for her." said Lillian

"Telling us won't make any difference. If you have any complaints take it to her. Can we please work." Golden said impatiently "What about the digestive system?"
