13. Death

As I turned around to walk away, I felt a very sharp pain in my back and I choked on my breath. I looked down on the floor and saw the dark red liquid, my blood, spilling on the floor. I turned my head slightly to see Donovan, the love of my life, my husband, the father of Ruby, stab me. Even his face had a huge trace of fear on it.

I would fight back but I am not wasting the little bit of strength I have now. I am close to death.

I couldn't possibly belong on a planet where I'm hated by everyone, ever since I could remember, and the one love of my life sees me as a monster.

I have lived through absolute hell here, with a horrible childhood and temporary happiness ripped apart. And Ruby is my daughter, and I know she is just like me.

I knew how much pain everything was growing up, I can't stand the fact of my Ruby growing up living the same life as me.
