Sorry these took so damn long.Nobody knows who the Dollmaker is. Nobody knows where he came from. But people know what he looks like, what he's done, and what he's doing.
Dates cannot be given, but all that is known is that the Dollmaker came into existance many years ago.
After becoming a surgeon to please his father, the man who would become the Dollmaker married a kind woman shortly after. He would be constantly pressured by his work, and even greater by his wife. His work as a surgeon was the most important thing to him, as he respected his father, who himself was a former surgeon. His father died after a few years into the irritating marriage and his career. This upset him greatly, and so he spent months in depression. It was then he realized, that had it not been for his father, he would not have experienced the pressure of being expected to be a top surgeon. Suddenly, the respect he had for his father turned to pure hatred.
His wife would not stop annoying him. She was doing things any other woman would do, however, these things would aggravate him to no end. It was on one night, that after so long of being angry and depressed, he snapped. He murdered his wife with a kitchen knife, and felt joy whilst doing so. He was used to seeing blood, and the body was nothing more to him than an object. He felt he could control what happened to it. He had seen the inside and outside of human beings, and both views disgusted him to no end. He suddenly had an urge. An urge to create beautiful human beings. Or, more simply, human beings that he had made himself. This was when the man finally became the Dollmaker. The Dollmaker removed his wife's face. He removed her arms and legs and left her as a torso. He stored her in the basement, and locked the basement door behind him.
And then the Dollmaker travelled to the burial ground of his father late at night. Not long had passed, and his flesh would not have decayed. The Dollmaker brought his father's coffin up from the ground, and forced it open with a crowbar. The Dollmaker saw his father's corpse, and immediately removed his father's face. He did not have the time to remove his limbs, and so the Dollmaker travelled home with only the face of his late father. When the Dollmaker returned, he attached the face of his father to his own by using tight elastic. This mask would be worn when the Dollmaker did his "work," so that he could still feel his father's presence, to feel as if he was making him proud; he knew that his father wanted his son to be like him, and so the Dollmaker was now wearing his father's face to achieve that. The Dollmaker then discovered he did not enjoy his "work" so far. This was because the two people he had mutilated so far had not been alive. It was then, inspiration struck the Dollmaker.
Taking his wife's face, he gently nailed it to the door of one of his neighbors so that a sound could not be heard. The Dollmaker watched from a distance the next morning as the man living in the house found the face on his door. The Dollmaker then waited, his sack of limbs and bag of tools at the ready. The police arrived, and after some time, they left. At midnight, the Dollmaker was able to enter the home through the front door, as it had been unlocked. The man inside the house assumed that nobody in his area would try to get in; but that man had now been proven wrong. The Dollmaker made his way up to the room where the man was residing, and swiftly knocked him out. And, in the man's own home, the Dollmaker's work begun.
He injected the man with many painkillers so that he would not regain his senses and awaken from the pain he was about to go through. And without hesitation, the Dollmaker cut off the man's right arm with a saw. He then began to sew the right arm of his dead wife onto the man's. The Dollmaker knew what he was doing, and how the limbs worked. As a result, every limb the Dollmaker added to the man, he knew would operate, even if poorly. The Dollmaker gave the man his wife's right arm, and his wife's left leg. The Dollmaker kept the limbs of the man for any future work. The Dollmaker did not care for the blood gushing onto the floor. For some reason, he did not mind if his creation had a short life.
The Dollmaker finished his project by removing the man's face, and also his tongue. The face would be used to nail to the door of his next "volunteer." The Dollmaker refused to call them "victims," as he believed his "work" to be a blessed procedure. The Dollmaker found the keys to the house the man owned, and carried the man's "body" out with him in a bodybag disguised as a toolbag used by workmen. The Dollmaker locked the door of the man's house, still leaving a light on inside, so that nobody would know he was gone.
The Dollmaker took the man to a nearby field and dumped his body there. The Dollmaker knew the man would eventually gain consciousness. However, he would not be able to speak due to his lack of lips and tongue, instead all would be moans and gurgles. The painkillers would still be active, meaning the man would not faint from shock. The Dollmaker's intentions were for the man to wander into the nearby area where he resided, and show any people who saw what marvels can be created with the human body, and how that the ideal human being does not speak. As a result, the Dollmaker made it his duty to never say another word. The Dollmaker then travelled to the next area of civilization, where he would repeat his actions. The Dollmaker's goal would be to travel the world, performing his work to all.
Some say that they have seen the Dollmaker's creations, his "dolls," wandering the night. Some say they have heard their ghastly moans which are in fact cries of terror. Needless to say, the Dollmaker is out there, and could be anywhere in the world. And anybody can be his next "volunteer." You would never hear him coming as he never speaks, and treads silently. But as long as the door to your home is unlocked, the Dollmaker can enter, and make himself at home.Template:Sort
