Introverts at Malls

Normal people happen to like shopping assuming they haven't maxed out their credit cards yet.

For us introverts it's kinda hard to shop for something we want or like without the intervention of the sales people.

I mean like, come on, you can smile at us, talk us through the product we asked, but don't go as far as our personal space. Some sales people even touch your hand or something or really get close to you as they talk and talk and talk about some nonsense product they're trying to sell.

For me, if I don't need or want it, I don't want to be a part of it. Period.

Don't sell me stuff I don't need.

Sometimes when we're at a certain store, the customer assistants are either eager to help you (crazy maniacs), or are the nice ones who asks if you need help and walks away if you don't need one (less crazy maniacs). I'd prefer the latter in every store I go to. But we can't have it all.

The experiences I had with the former are just plain horrible. They like literally follow you through out the store and "assist" you in everything that you may or may not need.

I get it, it's their job, but they don't have to try so hard to do it. I'd much rather look for something I need or want by myself and if I couldn't find it I'll muster up all my strength to ask them or not.

It really depends on which customer assistant is present.

Then there's my favorite type, the "I couldn't care less even if you buy something" customer assistants, they're my favorite because they literally just don't care about you even if they see you struggling, as you try to find something to buy. They'll just dead pan look you in the eye and ignore you until you personally ask them what you need and just keeps their "I don't care" face and still assists you with what you need.

That's the best interaction I'd want to receive if I'm ever in a clothing store.

Last but not the least, my least favorite customer assistant, the "cranky" ones. Just by the title itself, they're just plain cranky, like after gathering enough strength to ask them what I need they'll either give you a poor response or they'll answer you in an angry tone and you'll be left there to wonder if you did something wrong.

I mean, like seriously? Was it something I said?
