Waiting for a friend.
No matter what setting you're in, this will forever be awkward.
Restaurants. You say table for two, and as per usual you get seated to your table, and then your friend gets tied up in traffic and you're left there to wait for a few more mintues. As you wait, you get suspicious looks from people eating around the restaurant, they look at you with their aweful glares and you'll be left thinking, "what is he/she waiting for?" Or "that poor guy/girl got stood up" or "he's/she's been there for a long time, did he/she order yet?". Things like that.
It's just awkward looking back at them.
Malls. Your friend was late due to traffic. Again. So you're left at the mall waiting for your friend, just awkwardly standing near the stairs, trying to look busy with your phone but you're really just randomnly scrolling through your photos. Yes you avoid everyone's glances but not everyone's opinion about you standing there. Just saying.
Friend's house. This is the most awkward for me, especially if your friends' family know you, and you're left there to interact with them or worse, completely ignore you and leave you to your thoughts. A lot of wild thoughts could go in your mind while waiting for your friend at his/her house who's late because of a traffic jam.
Darn those traffic jams.
A/N: This will be the last chapter. Thanks for tuning in.
