I looked up and seen meek and carol standing at the door 

I decided to kept quiet meek and carol had the nervous smile on their faces

I looked at ava running her fingers in her thick curly hair

The tension in the room was thick as hell and nobody didn't want to say anything

This was awkward I could feel meek staring at me

Mama Kathy: umm OK I think it time for us to go so let's go you guys

Everyone got ready to go and said the good byes and headed out the door

Mama Kathy: I'll back to tomorrow

Nicki: OK have a safe drive home (I said softly)

Mama Kathy: OK love yall get some rest (kissing my forehead) let's go na

Na: what I'm going to stay a little bit long

Mama Kathy: nasheema let's go with yo nosey ass
(I pray I spelled her name right)

Na: ma you didn't even have to call me by my government name (gathering her stuff to leave) see ya tomorrow sissy

Nicki: later (I said in a low voice)

Meek: I'm going to walk them down I'll be back

I knew what he was doing but I didn't say anything

I felt carol presence getting closer to me

I felt asia squirm in her sleep on the side me

Ifelt the bed dip I quickly shifted my eyes back carol

Carol: hello onika

Nicki: hi (never looking in her face)

Carol: she is so beautiful (admiring ava)

Nicki: thank you

Carol: remind me of you when you was born

I let out a light chuckle

Carol: you was so beautiful with your caramel skin complexion and a head full of thick curls and your brown almond shaped eyes you're just perfect (smiling)

Nicki: just perfect, just perfect to give away right (seeing carol smile fade away)

Carol: onika you know I'm sorry right (touching my knee making me look up at her)

She quickly moved her hand and put her hand in her lap

Carol: onika

Nicki: yes I know

Carol: nika I'm really sorry if I could change time I would I was just young and dumb and didn't think a baby would fit in my life and that was stupid of me

I just nodded my head

Carol: babygirl I'm tr-

Nicki: don't call me that

Carol: OK onika I'm trying to fix this I promise I am only if you let me I want be apart of your life and my grandchildren I missed too much already please onika let me it in

Nicki: I don't know

Carol: please we can take it one step at time and start over let me be in your life I know I messed up

Nicki: I need time to think about it

Carol: OK I'll give you that I pray you make the right decision but I think its time for me to go (picking up her things get ready to go)

I felt a little bad for her

Nicki: umm carol you can come back to tomorrow if you want to

Carol: I would love that good night onika

Nicki: good night

I saw her smile and walk out the door
I notice something was missing

Nicki: meek you can come in now

Meek: how you know I was out here

Nicki: because I know my nosey ass husband

Meek laughed and headed to the bathroom to wash his hands

When he came back out I handed him ava

He held her in his arms I already know she is going to have him wrapped around her little baby finger

Meek: so what did y'all talk about (looking at ava)

Nicki: I know you heard already

Meek: no I didn't y'all was talking too low and shit

I started to laughing at him since he was so serious 

Nicki: well since you want to know she asked to be back in my life and I don't know if I should let her

Meek: why not

Nicki: because I'm scared rihmeek

Meek: well I think you should because at least she's trying to do all she can to fix it

Nicki: I'll think about it
