“Come on it’s a Halloween party!” I said, sticking my head out of my bedroom window.

“For the sixth time Carter, I’m grounded.” Dylan tossed his hair.

“Come on your dad’s not even home. Your sister is at her friends. It’s a Saturday night and I have a party to get to. Let’s go!” I groaned.

“I don’t even have anything to wear.” He pointed out.

“Well come over loser and we’ll figure something out.” I laughed.

A week before Halloween. That’s when this party is.

It made sense I guess.

My cousin had little kids to take trick or treating Halloween night.

“Who’s party is this anyways?” Dylan climbed out of his window and up the tree, into my room.

“My cousin Angel’s. She’s crazy when she’s drunk by the way.” I laughed.

“So what are you wearing?” He asked.

“Um…” I slipped my shirt off.

“I was thinking a bee.” I put the costume up to my chest.

“What do you think?” I asked.

“Uh… good.” He nodded, averting his eyes.

I slipped on the costume.

“Okay I’m ready.”

“I think I’ll just go like this.” Dylan stuck his hands in his jeans.

“Great! Then let’s go!” I smiled and skipped out of my room.

“Joey!” I called her to the kitchen.

I met Joey last year. She changed schools again.

She happened to be the step-daughter of my cousins friend. That’s why she’s here.

She came into the kitchen.

“Watch.” I laughed.

I grabbed the capful of apple pucker from my cousin and downed it.

“That went down a little too easy Carter.” He laughed.

I laughed and walked out.

I think Dylan went outside for a minute.

“Whoo! First taste of alcohol! Bad girl level 1!” Joey gave me a high five.

I rolled my eyes.

“You’re so lucky you left. These teachers hate me.” I sighed, sitting on the couch with Joey as she worked on her second cup of jumbo juice.

“Why?”

“For example the other day, I was chasing Dylan around because he stole my food and-”

“Oh my God! When are you and Dylan going to date already?!” She groaned.

I laughed.

“You are so drunk.” I patted her head.

It was weird. Everyone was always telling me that.

“I’m gunna go find Dylan.” I got up.

She was drunk out of her mind.

I found Dylan taking a jello shot.

“What are you doing?” I grabbed the whip cream from him and sprayed some in my mouth.
