“Hey… wake up shortcake.” a voice interrupted my peaceful dreams.

I groaned.

“I have Gatorade.”

That usually doesn’t wake me up but I did peak an eye open.

“There’s my girl. How ya feelin?” Dylan asked, crouching in front of me.

“Like shit.” I mumbled into my pillow.

“Figured. Now with this-” He put a can of Lysol on my desk.

“This-” He put on some hand sanitizer before setting it by the Lysol.

“And this-” He put a mask over his mouth and nose. “Should help me take care of you very well.” The mask wasn’t big enough to cover his smile.

I smiled.

“You’re the best.”

“I know.” He beamed.

I laughed, despite it hurt my tummy.

“Hey um- I have practice at 5 but I’m all yours till then.” He pulled the mask down. I don' blame him those are so irritating.

“What practice? Football is over.” I clarified.

“Right. Basketball.” “That doesn’t start for two weeks.” “Early practice Carter.” He said, getting slightly frustrated. “Where?”

“Lakeside.” He shrugged.

The lake? Huh?

I dropped it.

Dylan often did lie to me about where he was going and why.

A lot of the time I thought it was because of Taylor but what was his excuse now? Basketball? Oh please.

I was feeling much better than last night. Not fully stable but stable enough.

“Well- Holland says she’ll take over when you leave.” I nodded.

Speaking of Holland…

“Hey can you bring me my tablet?” I asked.

He put on his mask and walked over to my dresser and pulled out a bright pink and black tablet.

Early Christmas present. I’m not that spoiled.

I sat up slightly and Skyped Holland.

“Ello!” She waved.

I laughed.

“How are you feeling?” She asked.

“Bleh. Catching up on Awkward.” I laughed.

She flipped her screen to show her TV.

“OMG me too!” She laughed before flipping it back to her.

“Can you believe Jenna?” I rolled my eyes.

“No but who knows what I would do if I got the chance to go with a hot guy like Collin!” She fanned her face.

I laughed.

“Please don’t go all girly on me.” Dylan groaned.

Holland raised a suggestive eyebrow.

I flipped my camera and showed her Dylan.

“Awe isn’t he cute.” She laughed.

“Hey I’m anything but cute okay!” Dylan groaned.

Holland help up a piece of paper after a moment that said, ‘Okay more like super hot’

I burst out laughing.
