I woke up to the smell of bacon and pancakes. Literally.

I opened my eyes groggily.

"I knew this would work." Dylan smiled.

"What are you doing here?" I yawned, scratching my head.

"We need to talk." He put his elbows on his knees as he sat in front of me.

"Can I brush my teeth first?" I mumbled, mostly needing the urge to fix my hair.

He nodded.

I jumped out of bed.

Once I reached my en-suite I didn't know what to scold more.

The fact my hair looked like I was attacked my a bird or that I'm wearing the shortest shorts known to man.

I tamed my hair and brushed my teeth. I washed my face.

At times like this I wish I kept a spare pair of pants.

I came out and went back into my bed, using the blanket to cover my legs.

I wanted to talk first but I had to eat. Literally I was feeling like I was going to faint if I didn't.

"How's the sugar?" He asked.

"I don't know you tell me. Am I fat yet?" I didn't look up at him as I retorted.

"I didn't mean that Carter I swear. I was just mad and-" "Whatever. What did you want to talk about?" I mumbled, drenching my breakfast in syrup.

I didn't want to look at him. I wasn't ready.

"It's about what you said last night."

I froze, mid-bite.

"I went over to ask Taylor about it... she wasn't at her house." He nodded.

I furrowed my eyebrows.

What was he getting at?

"She was at Jay's house." He stated.

Jay was apart of the football team.

My stomach tossed at the previous flashback coming back. The guy making out with Taylor was Jay.

"And?"

"Do I have to spell it out for you Car? She was cheating on me!" He exclaimed.

He got up angrily and paced around my room, trying to calm down.

"You were right." He whispered.

I'm not heartless, but I am his best friend.

"Sorry... what was that?" I cupped my ear.

"I said you were right." He groaned.

I smiled.

"I'm always right."

He rolled his eyes.

"So are you really going on a date tonight?" He sat in front of me as I finished the last few bites of my pancake.

"Yeah." I said though all the food.

"Why? Seriously do you really like Aiden like that?"

"Did you really like Taylor like that?" I retorted.

"She's a different subject." "How? I never liked the whore but you did so I kept my mouth shut for most of the time."

He was quiet for a while.

I gulped down the small remains of water I had on my nightstand.

"I didn't know you despised her that much."
