-Denice Pov-
It's been 2 weeks later since we were last abducted. I hadn't had a normal sleep yet still having nightmares to this day. My burns healed perfectly, the stab wounds were no longer on my body but the only mark that never went away was the wolf bite on my shoulder. It scarred me eternity. The school itself was more protected, me and Shay had the option to do our work outside of class or in, knowing me and her we stayed together working in moms office while she walked around doing her job leaving us alone.
"Shay," I whispered. I haven't spoke to her since the day we got back and she didn't either. We were just to distant but needed to stay together no matter what the outcome was. We never said a word to each other besides waking each other up from nightmares. But today was the day I should speak to her, I missed her.
She lift her head from her page and slowly smiled.
"Have you been-" I exhaled.
"do you dream of those people," I finished not saying there names. She nodded her head.
"Every night." She whispered.
"Same," I agreed and continued writing on my paper for Mr. khans class. The rest of the afternoon was silent as we finished our work leaving the assignments on mothers desk. We began walking back to dorm right away when Tobi stopped us in the middle of the hall.
"Shay, can I speak to you." He asked looking at both of us. She gulped and looked at me when I smiled.
"About what? I need to go back to my room. I'll see you later." She said pulling my arm when Tobi sighed walking away. I stopped us in our tracks and looked deep in her eyes.
"You have to talk to him one way or another Shay. I know you're scared, I'm the same but we can't move on if we can't talk about it with someone. I mean we can't even talk about what happened in that basement to each other without freaking out." She lift her finger up to silence me when she squeezed her eyes shut.
"I'm sorry but it's true. Moms been sending people to talk to us but we can never open up. I can't with you either. It's to hard." I added trying hard not to cry.
"I'll only talk to him if you talk to Carter. You've been pushing those boys away these past 2 weeks meanwhile they're the ones who saved us from that place, and I've been talking to wren lately. Since he's the one who saved me from-"
"Yeah I understand." I say cutting her off. I mean she was right but I wasn't ready to face them yet. I had no idea what to say or how to thank so I needed to do this the right way so I'm guessing now is that time.
"Dee?"
"Okay I'll do it. Come back to the dorm tonight please," I replied.
"I'll always will. See you later." She hugged me and chased after Tobi when I walked out of the manor heading over to wolf springs. It wasn't just the wolfs I've been avoiding, it's been our friends in general. When me and her would wake up to go eat in the great hall, we wouldn't go sit at our regular table, we would get our food and walk out sitting in a classroom. We were always together but not saying a word to each other it was that serious. Once I got to the grounds I was then noticed by Morgan with open arms when he gently squeezed me.
"How are you feeling Denice? Haven't seen you since you got back home, the boys missed you I mean we all did." He asked rubbing my arms when I quickly push his hands away.
"I'm sorry," I whispered covering up my chest. I couldn't look into his eyes knowing he was looking at me.
"No it's my fault." He replied.
