Chapter six- Five million dollars gone

Christian's pov

"What do you mean 5 million of the shares are missing? This is outrageous," said, I said in anger all of a sudden. Couldn't believe that someone has done this to me.

"Yes sir. That's what happened, I believed it must have been stolen," responded the poor man in fear not knowing what to do.

"Just get the he'll out of face right now, I can't stand looking at you. Get out." I said while the man hurried out of the room.

What the heck is going on around here. This cannot be happening, someone has been sabotaging me it's unbelievable, just unbelievable. 

Everything I worked for came down to this, someone betrayed me? Unbelievable. 

Searching for my keys, I got out of the office closing the door loudly, walking to the elevator then to my car. After, starting the car, I called my best friend James and explained what happened and decided to meet at our favorite restaurant.

Waiting for James arrival, I can't believe how came to this situation. Everything was going perfectly with the new Secretary that my grandmother hired. I still doesn't know how my grandmother found her so fast, I'm still a bit clueless about everything. Looking out in space I didn't realize that James had already arrived and was seated calmly staring me  wondering what was going inside my head.

"Hey man, care to elaborate?" Said James, as if nothing happen.

"Oh hey, I see you finally show your face."

"Really Chris? I'm only 10 minutes late, you seriously need to back off with me not being early man." Responded James a bit annoyed.

"Ok, ok sorry I'm just frustrated of what happened, 5 million dollars are missing." I said, already to hurt somebody.

"Calm down Christian. I know, it's not that much. Since its something that is very dear to your company, then we need to figure out who has done this. Is it someone you know or is it someone who cannot stand you? We need to find out."

"I get you man but, I don't know where to start in this situation."

"Look what about that new Secretary you got, tell me something about her."

"James really that's where your going to start, that's kind of low." I said unsure and confused.

"Where did you want me to start, oh maybe the cat had stolen the money, would that be a good place to start?" He said sarcastically.

"Yes that would be perfect and I only know Angel for two months now." Unaware that I just used her first name.

"Soo, you're on first base with Ms Hart now? I had no idea." James said, laughing.

"Shut up James and mind your own business. There is no way she would do that, I trust her."

"Pardon me. I didn't know how close you guys were." James said, enjoying his tormenting.

" James I swear if you don't shut-"

" You'll what?" He said cutting me from what I was about to say.

"You'll be sorry and, please don't interrupt me, we need to fix this man." I said trying to get him back to this situation at hand.

"Fine, your no fun," He said, shutting up for good.

After figuring some stuff out, we decided to call it a day, and plan to find this person for good no matter how long it took. This will be exhausting I thought. Starting the car, I left the restaurant and arrived back to my office in record time. Turning to the left, I bump into someone and, papers fly all over the place. Bending to retrieve one of the piece of paper, our hand collide and I look up to a series of beautiful gray eyes starring back at me, and I realize that those eyes that I'm so captivate by, can only belong to Angel Hart.

Angel's pov

Gosh, this is so much work. It's been two months now and it's only getting harder. I don't know what's going on with my boss, he's like an iceberg not wanting a break. He acts like I'm not here and always seems to be on a bad mood. He pretty much left his office today looking like he was about to kill somebody, I feel bad for that poor man though. Working here has been the highlight of my year, I lost my job and I found a new one in just a few days, it's kind of a shock to me that I found a job so soon. I'm getting suspicious that Jenny had something to do with it, and I'm also concerned that she got Ms.Sidney to help her with it. I also, wonder how Jenny knows Ms.Sidney. I seriously need to talk to her.

Grabbing those papers I was working on I decided to go over them with Mr.Callahan when he come back, but, before I do I need to pick up the folder I left in coffee room. I really hope someone wouldn't find it before me because things would go a wire. As I make a turn I bumped into someone and all the papers went fly all over the floor.

"Oh come on, really?" I said furiously. Reaching down to pick one of the papers, my hands collide with the idiot who bumped into me and I look up into the eyes who belong to my sexy boss.

"Oh my Gosh, I'm so sorry I ..."

"I'm really sorry, let me help you," We said at the same time, as I blush. Then, he bent down again to help me pick up the rest of the papers.

"Here, I hope I didn't miss anything." He said handing me the rest of the papers

"Thank you for helping me pick up the papers, you really didn't have to you know." I said my face feeling hot.

"Oh it's okay, I wasn't watching where I was going, it was my fault, you don't have to worry about it." replied Christian.

This is getting really weird, I don't know what's going on but, he's being really generous. I mean it was kinda both our fault but, he really didn't need to help me. Every time I'm around him, my heart soars. It beat like there was no tomorrow and I hate feeling like that because I don't understand any of it.

"Well, I have to go sir, thank you for your help." I said scurrying fast to retrieve that folder.

Hour's later

After finishing my work, I decided to go home. When I got into my car it didn't want to start and I was getting worried. Joshua is home with Jenny and, I don't want to ruin her evening. She have a date tonight and she still watched Joshua for me.

"Why won't this work??" I said, in frustration.

"Is everything all right?" I heard a voice tell me,  I know who that voice belongs to because my heart is doing jumping Jack's. I really hope I don't get a heart attack, I thought to myself.

"Not really, my car isn't working and I really need to get home."

"Well if you're ok with it, I can drop you off " Said, Christian sincerely. While I contemplate on what to do next.

Should I?

Should I not?

I'm so confused and, I really need get home, maybe I could take a taxi but, at the same time I don't want to hurt his feelings.

What do I do? What do I do? I know the answer now.
