Jim, Taylor and Mark all sprinted for the closest rover, hoping to make it before Mira got too far away. Taylor slammed on the pedal and they sped off in hot pursuit.
"Convoy 2, come in C2" Jim barked over the comm
"This is C2, we copy" Rileys voice answered
"Send C3 and 4 back to TN and follow us, we might need backup"
"Right away, sir, over" The comm clicked
"Don't worry Shannon" Taylor said "We'll get your boy, and whoever stands in our way"
"Make sure you tell Guzman as soon as you get back, ok" Riley instructed
As C3 and C4 moved off to the colony, Riley took off after C1s tracker. Mark held on tight as Taylor threw the rover into the wake of Miras, crashing through anything that stood in their way. Jim aimed his pistol at the back tyres of the Sixers vehicle, hoping to hit a smooth patch so he could get a clean shot.

The first tyre blew, almost rolling the rover. Mira swore under her breath, reaching for her weapon.

The second tyre blew, the vehicle was now having trouble moving across the unforgiving ground. Mira yelled at the driver to keep going, but it was pointless, the rover had failed to make it over the slight jump. It skidded sideways and when it got its grip back, plowed into a tree. Mira stumbled for a moment before seeing Jims fist. She crumpled to the ground as the other members crawled out of the car. C2 pulled up beside them and helped detain the Sixers.
"Looks like you messed that up, hey Mira" Taylor smirked
"Well, we weren't expecting you to put his life on the line" She nodded towards Josh
Jim and Mark rushed to help him out of the rover, Josh winced as his dad placed a hand on his side.
"Ribs seem to be your specialty" Jim growled
"You go with what works" Mira answered as she wiped the blood that was dripping down her chin
"What's in the badlands Mira" Taylor asked, pulling her attention
"Why don't you ask Lucas. He's very interested in seeing you and Skye again"
"Trust me, the feeling is mutual" He glared at her "Tie 'em up, we're taking them with us"

As C3 and C4 neared the colony, Guz flew down the stairs, he knew something was wrong.
"Dunhan, what happened" He gasped
"Sixers showed up, they had Shannons boy" Dunham answered
"Shit" Guz whispered "C1, this is TN come in over"
"This is C1, we here you loud and clear Guz" Jim said
"C1 what is going on"
"We stopped the Sixer vehicle and we are currently heading home. Leave a light on for us" He laughed
"C1, we will have medical on stand by, over and out" Guzman turned to Riley "Go tell Doctor Shannon what's happened, I'm sure she will want to see to Josh herself"
"Yes sir, Em, why don't you head home, I'll be there soon" RIley smiled
"Sure" Emily turned, hoping that no one saw her disappointment
"Would you like me to escort you home" A voice asked as Emily was leaving
She looked up at this tall stranger, wondering if she knew him. Emily nodded and smiled as they walked away.
"So did anything come back while you were out there" He asked
"Kinda, I remembered what happened, just, nothing else. It's so infuriating, I mean, I had all these people who cared about me and I don't even remember their names. Not even my parents" Emily took a breath, hoping to stop the tears that threatened
"Well, who knows, maybe doing something you used to do might help" He grinned
"We knew each other, didn't we" Emily glanced at him
"Yeah, you and Mark were always at Boylans with us. You kicked some serious ass at poker, no one could tell when you were bluffing, not even Mark" Emily laughed at his retelling
"Well, maybe winning some money will do me good, what do you say..."She stopped "I'm sorry, I don't remember your name"
"Curran"
"Well, Curran, care to lose against me in an attempt to jog my memory" Emily smirked
"Bring it on, Shorty" They narrowed their eyes at each other "Last one to Boylans pays for the first drink"
"Hey, no fair" Emil yelled, chasing after Curran "I don't remember where that is"
"Exactly" Curran cackled evilly, sprinting away
