Warning - this is gonna get dark... but stay with me...
~
Lauren's house is twenty minutes away and Camila is going so far over the speed limit it's surprising she hasn't been pulled over. But honestly, that's the last thing on her mind.
The only thing she can really think of is what Lauren's doing right now. What's she going to find when she gets to her house?
Is she going to be lifeless on the bathroom floor next to an empty bottle of pills? Is her body going to be in her bedroom with her brains splattered all over the walls and a gun laying by her hand? Or is her limp body going to be hanging on a rope from the ceiling?
Camila can feel the tears streaming down her face as she pulls off the freeway. It suddenly hits her how much the green eyed girl means to her. She has only known this girl for a week and a half and she's already this attached?
Attached? No, Camila doesn't get attached. Not since...
Camila shakes her head, not even finishing that thought before continuing onto the next one.
She just... something in her knows that this girl is going to be very important to her.
"In five hundred feet, the destination will be on your right," the sound of google maps cuts through Camila's thoughts.
Seconds later, she finds herself turning into the driveway of a small, yet very unique house. As she turns off her car, the first thing she realizes is that Lauren doesn't really have neighbors. Well she does, it's just that the closest house is about two or three miles down from hers.
The next thing she notices is the red and black motorcycle parked by the side of the house. She can't help the smirk that crosses her face as she pictures the beautiful green eyed girl on the road with it.
Shaking her head to rid the thoughts, she's immediately brought back to the reality of why she's here. Lauren might be dead inside of this house and here she is wasting time thinking about what she looks like on a motorcycle? Stupid, stupid, stupid.
Her hands quickly open the car door and she's basically sprinting to the front door. She nearly trips over the stairs, not realizing they were their due to how dark it is and that all the lights in the house are turned off. As soon as she's in front of the red wooden door, she begins knocking loudly.
"Lauren!" She calls out, her voice raspy and her cheeks still sticky with tears. "Lauren open the goddamn door, now!" She cries out, her fist banging hard against the door.
After a full minute of obnoxiously loud knocking and yelling Lauren's name repeatedly, she steps back from the door, takes a deep breath, and looks up at the dark night sky.
She looks at the crescent moon and the twinkling stars, tears still falling from her eyes. And then the words come flooding out of her mouth.
"Okay, listen Big Guy," she begins her throat sore from the yelling. "I need you to do something for me. I know I tend to not talk to you a lot and sometimes I disown you and say things about you that I don't really mean. But please," she sucks in a deep breath to avoid a sob before continuing.
"please don't take her away from me. Please don't let me get into this house and see that she's gone. Please don't take away the chance of me getting to know her. There's something about her...she's important to me. I don't know what it is yet, but she's important, so please, I beg of you to let her stay here. I just started talking to her and I'm not ready to lose her yet."
By the time Camila finishes her speech, the tears are flowing down her cheeks faster. She hasn't cried like this in a long while.
There's suddenly a flash of anger that flows through her. She doesn't understand why this girl means so much to her. She doesn't understand why Lauren would think to just cut her out of her life like that. She doesn't understand why it's all so sudden.
