It started the moment the warriors left the camp.

Jana had awoken feeling disorientated. Though it had been one of the best sleeps she had ever had she woke feeling restless. The camp had been awake for hours and Simeon had been missing from the bed for even longer.

The tent was quiet apart from Zosia's soft tufts of breath. Jana battled with whyher she should wake her now but she opted out, she didn't know if Simeon had left or not.

Throwing on some clean clothes, she made her way outside the tent to see bodies of women and men. They clung to their mates, eyes fearful but no tears fell. Kisses were placed as the warriors picked up their belongings readying to leave.

They held hands walking out of the camp? Fingers stroking as they remembered the contours of their loved ones. They walked to the edge of the camp and through the bushes she had come through.

The sunlight was struggling weekly to climb across the sky but they were already on the move. There was no sight of Simeon and a part of her that she loathed to recognise felt disappointed.

She wanted a goodbye even if it was strained, she needed one.

Arms wrapped around her waist, a solid chest meeting at her back.

"I have already said go bye to Zo" his lips ticking along her ear as he nuzzled into her skin. This contact was new, the most they had had for weeks and she revelled in it. Even though she knew it was a goodbye she still cherished the moment.

"It's just you left" he murmured.

"Mmm" she grunted, cool air gliding over her neck and soothing her burning mark.
The bond didn't want him to go, it wanted him to finish his claim. Make her his mate in every way. She didn't want him to leave either but not for those reasons.

"Let me see you Jana" the deep timbre of his body had her body responding in ways that felt foreign to her now. Her nipples pebbled and her centre became slick with heat.

A hiss left his mouth at the scent of her arousal, her body was prepped for him but he knew she wasn't. As much as her body called for him he knew that Jana didn't. She didn't want this.

"I'm going to miss you moja kobieta"

His thumb stroked over her cheeks as his face moved closer, sliding over her lip and pulling her teeth from where they had sunk into.

"I hope you miss me too" he whispered, his words ghosting over lips before he covered her mouth with his.

His lips working hers and coaxing her mouth open. His tongue duelled with her as she tentatively kissed back. Her essence seeped into his mouth and her body throbbed along his. He ached to take her inside his tent and finding what they were starting but he couldn't.

The timing wasn't right,  so he settled for their earth shattering kiss before he left his female behind. His lips lingered on hers a moment longer. Memorising her taste before he reluctantly pulled away. Breath gasping together,

He left shortly after that and the moment he did it all began.

After her and Zosia's followed Simeon to the edge of the camp, she made her way back to her tent to find it gone.
