Daniel's pov-
i made my way down to the dungeon one of my betas close behind Donovan talked quickly to the guards who bowed to both of us directing us to the cells at the back that was when the fist tinge of pain happened it was only small, to me anyways like getting a paper cut i was quick to shrug it off, pains like that for me happened on a daily basis, it was nothing new
as we progress further to the back of the cells the real pain started and i lurched to the side my eyes widening
"Nova" i gasped
Nova's pov-
teeth sunk deep into my fur and i cried out being thrown hard to the side my body making contact with a tree where i laid motionless for a few seconds
a few seconds too long
i was pinned to the ground teeth sunk into my paws shoulder and neck
"such a pretty wolf" the alpha said with a chuckle "what a shame to just kill you maybe if you begged a little i could make your life more... enjoyable?"
disgust traveled trough me and showed in my body language, couldn't he smell my mate on me?, i went to growl
but a growl already tore through the forest as a large black wolf broke the tree line head low ears back teeth bared his eyes completely dark showing that his wolf was out in full
shivers wracked my body as i whimpered for my mate unable to move to him due to the large amount of teeth, the snow below me drenched in blood
Daniel, no, Kolbie, growled again louder his authority showing though as well as his anger the wolves scattered backing away ears down tails between their legs except the alpha who was still in human form he frowned looking alarmed his eyes shot to me then to Daniel seeming to connect the dots he stepped back with his pack as Daniel came to my side Kolbie of course still being in control licked my wounds for a good five minutes until Daniel managed to take his control back
"what didn't you call me?" he growled through the mate bond looking over to the pack who had stepped closer he growled and they retreated back, do they really not know who he was?
"i was too scared" i whimpered audibly to him he nuzzled my neck gently
something hit him with a soft thud he growled turning to find clothes his eyes shooting up to the alpha
"can you move?" Daniel linked to me his eyes never leaving the culprits face
"i think so" i said pushing myself to my feet i took the shirt in my mouth before retreating behind a tree to shift back quickly sliding it over my body
as i came back Daniel had already shifted and grabbed the alpha by the throat, fear ever apparent in the alphas eyes
