chapter 22

Daniels pov-

my eyes peeled open feeling a familiar weight on my chest i yawned looking down at my nova who was silently sleeping

i smiled as i looked to my clock figuring it was time for me to get up, pack work waited for no one, maybe she could have a sleep in today

i gently began pushing her off my chest stopping as she released an angered growl placing her leg possessivly around my waist pulling me closer acting like the alpha i knew she was as she buried her face into the crook of my neck her breath fanning over her mark that laid there i felt my eyes getting heavy as i realized that i might not want to get up this morning as i drifted back to sleep

Nova's POV-

i felt a dull ache between my legs and i smiled nuzzling into the warm chest i knew laid beneath my head his warmth was undeniable

hesitantly i fluttered my eyes open before directioning my head to look at the gorgeouse man above me

our man kieara added to which i smiled

i looked over to the clock behind us

it was noon

i smiled "time for a wake up cal?"l i asked my wolf who seemed to nod eagarly as i quickly smothered my mark on his neck with harsh open mouth kisses he responded quickly squirming until his eyes snapped open he growled down at me

i purred blinking innocently up at him with deliberatly wide eyes and he chuckled kissing my forehead

"good morning to you too" he purred sweetly

"it's noon" i told him with a smile

he frowned looking to the clock his eyes widened in surprise but he relaxed quickly

"oh" he said with a chuckle

many minutes later and a long shower we were down stairs having a breakfast/lunch/almost dinner that the pack made not allowing either of us to lift a finger

daniel pulled me into his lap and i pushed my head into the crook of his neck as he watched his pack

our pack

and everything thing just felt right

like my life, our life

had fallen into place

but sadly...

this was the calm before the storm
