News spread like wildfire. Especially when you don't want to hear them. I was at my English class, listening to the quite inspiring speech of Mrs. Hough, when suddenly a note fell on my desk. I looked around to see who it was and stopped my gaze on the mystery messenger. It was my best friend Ivy. She gave me a sympathetic look. I wondered what was that about. And suddenly everything was clear when I opened the note.
Dave has a girlfriend. Nina told me he's with her best friend. Thought you should know.
I looked back at her and she mouthed ' I'm sorry ' . My vision became blurry but I blinked the tears away. I didn't want anyone to see my weakness.
He moved on. And as much as it tears my heart apart I knew I should do the same. Or at least I should try.
I don't want to be this sad little girl who doesn't have a will to fight. Tomorrow it will be better. It has to be. I will start fresh, kicking him out of my mind, just like he did with me. I will smile, without a single regret. I deserve to move on. More than he ever deserved me.
