[Ch. 7] Sense Of Relaity

Two hours later, I find myself still awake. It was around 6am at this point. I didn't sleep at all last night, I just couldn't stop checking next to me to make sure Vincent was okay. I get up, figuring I might as well make myself breakfast since I'm awake. As I get up off of the bed, Vincent slowly opens his eyes, stretching out slowly.
"Are you okay?" Is the first thing I ask him.
"Yeah." He nods.
"Okay good. What would you like for breakfast?" I ask.
"Toast...Please." He says quietly.
"Alright coming right up." I rush into the kitchen and drop two slices of bread 🍞
Into the toaster. I'll make my breakfast later. A few minutes later the two slices of bread pop up. I smile and take them out, spreading some butter on top of them and then running back to Vincent.
"Thank you..." he stares down at the plate for a few seconds. "Do I have permission to eat?"
Did he seriously just ask me that. God that god me so pissed off. Mike got his brain all fucked up to think that he has to ask PERMISSION to fucking eat a slice of toasted bread? I can't stand that. It makes me want to go over there and hit that abusive asshole right across his fucking jaw. I growl.
"Vincent..." I speak gently. "You never need to ask permission to eat from anyone."
"From Mike I do." He looks up at me, taking a bite into the toast.
"No. Thats wrong. You don't need to ask permission for anything." I shake my head. "And speaking of this topic...Were gonna get this collar off of you."
"When ever I pull at it...I-It like zaps me on the neck and it hurts." He bites his bottom lip.
"God..." I sigh. "You're sixteen...You're a kid. You're supposed to be going out to parties, hanging out with friends...Having fun...You're not supposed to ask permission for everything you do...You're not supposed to belong to anyone...Let alone a freaking 30 year old. Vincent...It's not reality...And tonight...I'm gonna show you teenage reality..."
