I'll Take Care of You

Imagine consoling Jamie after he watches Vinny a.k.a Officer Cruz get shot.

He had come in and immediately (y/n) knew something was off.
Jamie's face was all red and his eyes were blood shot. He walked straight to you and just collapsed into your arms with sobs shaking his entire being. You wrapped your arms around him and led him towards the couch. He buried his face into your chest and clutched your shirt into his fists. Despite the mournful atmosphere, you felt honored that you were the only person to ever see Jamie in this state.
You hugged him to your body, rubbing your left hand up and down his back to help soothe him and leaned your face in his hair.
"What's wrong Jams? Tell me so I can help you please. I don't like seeing you so upset."
He pulled his face away and your heart broke at the lost and broken expression he wore.
"V-Vinny. He's dead. I watched it happen. It happened right in front of me! And I couldn't do anything. (Y/n), I watched his life leave his eyes! What kind of partner am I if I can't help?"
Tears pricked the corners of your eyes. In a broken whisper you consoled him, "Oh Jamie. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. You're an amazing partner and Bunnyknew that. He wouldn't want you to be upset. He'd want you remember him as he was not as he is. He'd want you to think of all the jokes and fun times you both had on the job. He wouldn't want you to be beating yourself up over something you had no control over. If it's anyone's fault it's the bastard who shot at you or whoever was behind the attack."
He took a few shaky breathes. "Y-you're right. It's going to take a while. He didn't deserve the death he got. Thank you. I don't know what I'd do without you to help be my rock."
You gently wiped the tears from his cheeks and placed a loving kiss on both cheeks before placing one on his mouth. He held you closer to continue the kiss.
"Jamie, I'll always be here for you just like you'd do for me. It is going to take you a while to get over his passing but I'll be there with you every step of the way. Because I'll take care of you."

Heyo guys. Yeah it's actually me I'm not dead! This year so far has been very hectic between the three clubs and four papers, applying for college and internships and trying to find a damn job, I've had a hard time finding time to write. Sorry for the long wait.

Me: I'd want to marry Tom Hiddleston because I mean just look at him. He's too precious and let's not forget that lovely accent!
