So first of all, lets get the people who's uncomfortable with this subject out. It's about bxb, yaoi.

Alright, now that's done, lets get onto the actual topic.

Just recently, a translator that I help proofread her projects ask me for help for her friend who wanted to translate a Chinese drama into writing. It's the "listening" kind of translating. Of course, I dived in without asking much because I spoke Chinese, though I wasn't prominent in it. So the drama she wanted me to do is called "Love Is More Than A Word." It's about how a cold-hearted and intelligent lawyer falls in love with a magistrate. While they were solving cases together, the lawyer's heart softens and he starts to fall in love. But what he didn't know was that the magistrate is illiterate and payed to get his spot.

There's a love triangle in this series but anyways, I'll just paste the summary viki.com gave me :

Love Is More Than A Word (识汝不识丁[Shi Ru Bu Shi Ding]), adapted from the novel written by Su You Bing. Stills: Gu She (Yan Zi Dong) is a cold, intelligent, and well-educated lawyer. He starts out with indifferent feelings towards the new magistrate Tao Mo (Danny Jiang Zi Le) in town but through solving many cases together, they gradually develop feelings. What he doesn't know: the new magistrate is illiterate, and his post was bought through money. Described as naive and well-meaning, he only likes to stare at pretty boys. Throughout their journey, he also unveils secrets behind his father's death. A love triangle is formed when his old lover Emperor Wen of Chen ( Korn Kong Chui Nan) appears half-way into the story.

So anyways, after listening to the few minutes of the drama, I could basically understand very little. Don't misunderstand, I can speak enough Chinese TO live in China but I couldn't really understand anything because I don't actually "live" IN China. Chinese is my first language but it's more like a second language to me. Welp, my Chinese country slang ( since I live in the country side there) ain't enough to listen to this drama...

So what I need help is : Who is interested in translating this ?

Please help spreaddalove_LJ 's friend, because I wasn't prominent in Chinese enough ;;

Kind of Chinese : Mandarin

( funny story, Before I use to say "is this right" like this - Dui mah? My friend's mother didn't understand what I was trying to say so I repeated it like 1000 times until she figured out I was trying to say Dui bu dui? Which literally translated to "Am I right or wrong?" Then she said I lived in the country side most of my time speaking country slang, orz. )
