~It was a cold night so I got a fire going. I lit a scented candle in my heart to warm the both of us~

Manik's POV:

The night is not forever but to me it seemed to be the best & beautiful night of my life. I unlocked my car and smiled gesturing her to get in while she kept giving me confused stares.

"Manik, ah..I really can manage u know" She said politely.

"No, Cabir asked me to drop u & I will" I said.

"Are u sure?" She asked whilst I nodded in a yes.

She asked me again if I was sure & this time creasing my brows I kept staring at her. She indicated me towards the bottom of my car & I kept looking here & there to find a clue. It was after a while I noticed that the tyre pressure of my car due to the kindness of snow was totally weak. I turned the other side cursing the stupid car in my mind hitting the tyre slightly with my foot.

"It's really okay, my house is a little away only, I'll manage" she politely uttered

"It's really okay, my house is a little away only, I'll manage" she politely uttered.

"And how will u manage?" I questioned.

"I'll walk. I said na it's nearby, don't bother" she smiled faintly & started to walk away.

"Hello? I'll walk u till ur home, come" I said. She turned back & raised one of her brows.

"Why?" She asked widening her eyes.

"Because I want to" I couldn't think of a better answer then.

"But u don't need to. Thank u" she turned around & started walking.

"Okay then if that's what u want. If u don't permit me to accompany u then I'll have to stalk u till ur home to make sure u reached safely" I spoke a little higher yet gentlemanly because she was gone little away.

She turned back giving me a shocked expression while I smirked & asked her to get going & this time surprisingly she didn't protest as she might have understood my adamancy clearly.

We had been walking since past 10 minutes & what a lier she had been when she said her house was a little away. We kept silent though every now & then, I couldn't help but stare at her to admire her beauty which was glistening like a river bed under the moonlight. She was wearing a french-style knitted beanie cap and kept rubbing her arms to fight the cold. She spared a glance at me allowing our eyes to meet while I heartily admired her celestial face more & more.

That night either the almighty was playing pranks on me or kindling a hope of a new unrealised feeling in my heart. The snowflakes from the sky started pouring at a very slow pace filling our hearts with its content. We both looked up at the sudden snowfall but u know, in Shimla during the winters this was the commonest thing. It's very well said that whenever the snow falls, the nature listens. I've let my hoodie glide down from my head as I wanted to enjoy this snowfall like never done before. This was special and her presence turned it ethereal. A tranquil smile appeared on my face as I looked around everywhere & found things to be looking exceptionally divine.
