It has been three months since McCree had started dating Hanzo. Yet Hanzo, his love and his partner. Didn't know the most important thing about McCree. He was a werewolf. I wasn't uncommon to see monsters around whether it was in their human form or true form. He was scared Hanzo would leave him for being the beast he was. Hanzo himself was a monster- a dragon which was already known about the Shimadas- but while he was a respectable species most people didn't trust werewolves. They were seen as killers, criminals, they were what others used as the true definition of a monster. This is why he decided to not tell Hanzo out of the fear he would be hurt, abandoned or even exposed to those he loved that didn't know.
McCree knows he can't keep this up for long but he was determined to if it meant he would have Hanzo in his life.
