Marks pov
The day after the bet was made

Today is day one of the bet and it was finally lunch. Blake said I have to sit with Jacob at lunch until this bet was over

I got my food and made my way to his table to consisted of only him. I sat down in front of him making sure the tray made a noise so he knew I was there, he flinched and then looked up at me, when he saw me he just looked back down at his food

Well this is going to be hard .

I wasn't sure what to say so i just decided to introduce myself, "yo, hi im Mark" I said

He looked at me and then looked back down

"Well then, I thought you would like so company but if you don't that's cool I'll leave, but I'm only leaving if you actually say to me to leave"

He looked like he was about to speak but then he just shook his head, "you want me to leave?" I asked, he shook his head again and I just stayed sitting

When the lunch bell rang and he still hasn't said a word to me and I don't even know how he sounds like that meant I had to walk home with him to at least get him to say hi or some shit, his bets not going to work if we don't talk, and there's no way I'm giving Blake 300 dollars

When the last bell rang I quickly left the school and went to find Jacob, I knew he walked because I saw him sometimes I just never approached him before

I was walking when I accidentally ran into him which was actually a good thing, "oh sorry" I said and patted his back, he flinched and I gave him a confused look but he shook it off

"S-sorry" he whispered so quietly that I wasn't sure if he meant for me to hear it

"It's fine, and sorry if I hurt your back or anything"

He nodded and I just walked next to him, it was quite just like in lunch and i wanted that to change

"Umm well, i can tell you don't talk much but how are you"

He stopped walking and looked down, I stood in front of him, "you okay?" I asked

I just asked him a simply question, he started to nod his head until he just shook it

"Well you don't have to tell me anything but I'm here if you want to talk

He nodded and I patted his shoulder, "like really, you can talk to me" I said again hoping that maybe he'll say something

"Th-thanks"

When he stopped walking I realize we got to his house he did a small wave and began to walk away, "wait" I said

I walked up to him and handed him my phone, "here give me your number, if you want to talk about what happened or just say hi" he nodded and took my phone in his shaky hands, he typed in his number, "bye" I said when he finished

"Bye" he said
