Aaliyah's pov:

*DING DONG*

I walked into the kitchen grabbing the bowl of candy and making my way to the front door.

"Trick or treat!" Some cute kids dressed up as monsters said.

"I guess... Treat?" They smiled at me.

I chuckled and leaned down to let them pick some candy.

After choosing some cherry lollipops, i closed the door and watched the kids run down the neighborhood.

I put the bowl down and walked to the living room.

*riiiing riiiing*

I smiled and pressed the answer-button.

"Hello?"

"Hey babe!" A dark voice said on the other line.

"Hey Jace!" I smirked and lied down on the couch.

"What you up to?" He asked.

"Nothin' i'm bored... Wanna come over?"

I heard breathing on the other end.

"I'm glad you asked!" He said.

"See you!"

"Can't wait."

I squealed and jumped up and down.

~time skip~

*knock knock*

I ran a hand through my hair and smiled to myself.

I opened the door.

Jace stood there in a stupid looking costume.

"Hey babygirl!" He grabbed my waist and kissed me on the cheek.

"Hello..." I grinned.

"What are you wearing? You look stupid." I said.

He laughed and i closed the door behind him.

"It's a ninja costume! Duh!" He said.

I laughed and played with his short blonde hair.

"Wanna watch a scary movie with me?"

He bit his lip and nodded.

We walked into the dark livingroom and cuddled up against the couch.

We ended up watching "the boy", a scary story about a living doll.

It terrified me, so i made sure to have Jace really close to me.

"Scared?" He whispered into my ear.

I nodded and held his hand even tighter, if that's possible.

*knock*

I jumped up from my place and gasped.

Jace stood up and scratched the back of his neck.

"What was that?" I said, my voice shivering.

He shrugged.

*knock*

We both jumped back a little.

He looked at me with huge, brown eyes.

"I'll go check!" He said.

"No, no, no... Someone always end up dead!?" I screamed, half whispering.

He nodded and we got up from the couch together.

"Let's check it out together..."

I kept going a little behind Jace, and he tried hard to look brave.

*knock*

"Maybe someone is knocking on your door? To get candy?" He asked, while making our way down the long hallway.

"I don't think so..."

The hallway seemed longer that normal, and i don't remember turning off the lights.

When we finally got to the end, the door was wide open.

We took a look outside and couldn't see anyone.

"I'll go check the garage, stay here!" He said and took a step outside in the cold, fall weather.

His tall shadow dissapeared in the darkness and i was now standing alone on my porch.

I decided to close the door and wait inside.

*knock*

I jumped again.

"H-hello?" I shivered.

No response.

"Hello?" I said, a little louder.

No response.

I walked to the kitchen and tried turning on the lights.

They wouldn't turn on, don't even a little bit. The power was completly out.

*knock*

The noise was louder this time, like it came from the room next door.

I grabbed a large kitchen knife and took a deep breath.

My legs moved slowly over to the livingroom.

I walked down the long hallway, when something got my attention.

A long, thin figure stood at the end of the hallway.

I could only see the shadow, but it looked nothing like a normal human being.

"Hello? What do you want?!" I screamed.

The weird figure came closer and i felt my breathing get really shaky.

It was only few inches from my face now, it smelled like rotten fish.

"Aaliyah... Aaliyah... Aaliyah..."

"What?" I asked.

The monster got blurry and i felt my body leaving this crazy world.

"Aaliyah.. Aaliyah... AALIYAH!!! Wake up!!"

Jace slapped my face and stared down at me.
I rubbed my eyes and looked at my
surroundings.

The hallway was back to normal, and i was on the couch in my livingroom again. With my boyfriend.

"What happened?"

"You had a bad dream? You okay? Wanna talk about it?" He rubbed my arm and kissed my forehead.

I shook my head and smiled.

"As long as i'm with you... I'm happy!" I said and leaned my head on his shoulder.

"Be safe... I love you!"

"I love you too, Aaliyah!"
