Part Two
Hare and Ivory came in the window closest to the perfume. Well, as close as they could get without being seen. They were just seen as heroes, and even then they hadn't made very good impressions. Hare was an invisible stalker and Ivory was a temperamental tight-pulled string that could break at any moment.
"Prey's Instinct." Hare shimmered for a second before completely disappearing. Ivory waited for Hare's okay before sneaking into the hallway. "You know, your boots make too much noise. Maybe paws would be of more assistance here?"
Ivory growled quietly once before replying.
"Not here."
Hare opened a nearby door and peeked inside. There was a scream and for a second Ivory was terrified someone saw the ghost door open. Then the door shut and Hare's voice sounded.
"It wasn't me."
"Uh-huh."
"No, seriously. There was an alligator on the bed."
"What!?"
"Keep your voice down! Next door." Hare crept to the next door, Ivory close behind. This time the room was empty and the two crept inside.
"This is taking longer than I thought. You're on your last cord." Ivory stood and stretched her back a little. Hare's anklet beeped for the supposed last time, although neither of them had heard the other ones. She shifted back, her kwami plopping down on the couch.
Twigg moaned in her cute squeaky voice. Jade giggled a little and pulled a Ziploc bag of clover out, handing some to the tiny rabbit.
"Call of the Wild!" Ivory began with her hands near her head, then spun, her arms extending out at her sides before she fell to her knees. When the light stopped swirling around her, a white wolf stood where the girl was.
Its patterns were the same as Ivory's, main body white, the tips of her ears and tail brown, along with her front paws. On her back legs the brown climbed all the way up her legs, and her back and tail were speckled with black and grey. Her snout was a light tan color, her eyes were a ghost blue, one side of her face was a slight darker white, and her eyes looked like she had eyeliner on.
"Hurry up and transform, I don't have all day." The wolf snarled, showing her front right paw, the wolf miraculous wrapped around it. Jade seemed surprised at first, then transformed, grinning.
"Twigg, ears up!"
The two re-entered the hallway, the wolf sniffing the air before continuing down the hallway.
"What are you doing, Ivory?"
Ivory growled slightly, telling Hare to be quiet. She sniffed the air again and turned down a hallway.
"What does that blind eye do for you as a wolf."
Ivory stopped and glared at Hare.
"We've been through this." The wolf turned around and dropped her head to the ground, sniffing as she walked.
Hare had more to say, as Ivory heard her mumble something, but she ignored it and kept moving. She didn't raise her head or her eyes until she felt dizzy and her nose stung. Her stomach grumbled and she whimpered a little.
"Aww, does poor puppy have a boo boo?"
"This poor puppy is going to eat the sarcastic bunny 'wabbit' in a second if she doesn't shut up."
"Don't start a dogfight."
"Actually-Stop talking."
"What?"
