Jack's pov

I was sleeping peacefully in my room, while my little sister, Zoe, was in her room sleeping.

*thump*

*crash*

I woke up when i heard some loud noises. I hear some footsteps running around. I jump out of bed and run out of my room to investigate.

I stop in the hallway and listen to see if i still hear the noises. I still hear them, but this time louder.

I run to Zoe's room to make sure shes okay. I see something running towards me, before i can react, I'm knocked down on the floor. i scramble around to see what it is

"Zoe? Was that you running around?" i rubbed the back of my head. She nods her head yes.

"why were you running around?" i looked at my watch "why are you even up?" she clears her throat then speaks

"I had a bad dream. So I came looking for you" tears bubbled in her tired eyes. She reached up and wiped them.

"Oh. You mind telling me what it was about?"I ask

"Yes. i'll tell you." I stand up and pick her up, taking her to my room.

Zoe told me all about her terrible nightmare.

"That sounds terrible! I can't believe you had to experience such a horrible nightmare! i'm so sorry Zoe!" i hugged her as she cried into my shoulder. Her crying stopped i lifted her off my shoulder and looked at her. She was fast asleep in my arms.

I carried her into her room and tucked her in. Before i walked out, i turned on her nightlight and kissed her forehead. "I love you Zoe." she smiled in her sleep.

i'm so lucky to have her
