Week 2: Day 3

Aphmau was on her bed texting Laurence. Well you can say this experiment is going very well.

They've become friends, but then again they don't know that they could be closer. If they just confess.

Then again they're just friends... for now.

As Aphmau was getting dressed she kept thinking about Aaron.
What do I tell him? I've gained a crush on- No... He's just my friend. She thought.

Aww come on I know you have a crush on him. Said her conscience.

Oh shut up.

*sigh* I don't have time for you.

Then you don't have time for yourself?

She ignored the last one. And finished getting dressed. It was a Saturday afternoon.

She was going to visit her tree. Yes, her tree. Aphmau planted the little willow tree when she was 3. It was located in an abandoned field.

She loved that tree with everything she had. After all she was a green thumb.

Aphmau was sitting on a branch on the Willow tree. As she watched the sunset someone walked under the branch and sat down.

When she looked it was Laurence. He was leaning against the tree.

"Laurence? What are you doing here?" Aph asked.

Startled Laurence looked up. "Oh. I didn't see you there. I always come here."

Aphmau jumped down. "Really? Did you know I planted this tree?"

"That's cool. How often do you come here?" Laurence asked.

"I usually come here any chance I get. How come your here?"

"Just..thinking."

"What are you thinking about?"

"..." He blushed and looked away.

"Are you okay? You don't have to answer the question."

"I-It's fine but it's embarrassing. But I come here to think about...you."  He looked at the sunset.

"R-Really? Why me?" Aphmau started twiddling her thumbs.

"It's just that, I really like you. I've always been a jerk to you. And I'm sorry.
Laurence looked down.

"It's okay Laurence. I forgive you."

"Thanks, but can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"Do you want to go on a date with me?"

"Y-Yeah.."

"Is Friday after school okay?"

"Yes it's perfect."

"I think it's getting late we should go home. I can walk you to your house if you'd like."

"Sure."

Aphmau hopped into bed and screamed into her pillow.

She couldn't wait for her date.
