The seven guest suites were decorated from 1931 to 1942. Each of the seven Gothic terror or monster movie inspired suites is assigned a color and is referred to by that color. A velvet drape hangs across the top of each entryway and a brass plaque is mounted on the polished wooden surface of each door. The plaques are inscribed with an appropriate quote from each of the six movies and one Gothic poem.
