Therian- Short for Theiranthrope. A Therian is a being who feels a connection with an animal/Mythical creature. Most Therians tend to be animals such as canines and or big cats. The connection the being feels can range from believing that they are in the wrong body to simply they have been that animal in a past life (Ect.) Therians can NOT physically shapeshift into their theriotype. (The animal they believe they are) Although some describe they can shift into that animal. Mental shifts which are the most common is when the beings brain "Shifts" and gets the instincts of their theriotype. Phantom shifts are when the being feels limbs. (Tails, paws, Ears, Snout, Wings Ect)
Therians are not to be confused with the furry fandom their relationship with animals are quite different.
