Alexandrea woke up to the smell of omelette that Yrna had made for breakfast. Lynx saw her wake up and said good morning to her. She sit up on Lynx's bed and look around to find the omelette. "It seems that you are really hungry," said Lynx. "No, I'm not that hungry," she said. Then her stomach starts growling. Loudly. Lynx smirked after he heard that. "Maybe I am. Heheh..." said Alexandrea. Her face blushed a little when she said that. "Hey. Can I call you Andrea. Your name is kinda ‘royally’ long. Don't get me wrong though, it's a nice name," said Lynx. She then answered yes. After they had breakfast, they leave the house to go to the city. "Sooo...what is the town like here? Do they build high walls to keep the monsters out? Is there any kind of special guards like the Royal Guards here?" asked Andrea. She has a lot of questions for Lynx. Lynx then answered them one by one. "First of all, here we call it a city, not town. Well, they didn't build walls here. The king used magic to build a wall that surrounds the entire city from top to bottom. Only people from the city are allowed to enter or exit freely. Anyone else need a special card like this one." Lynx handed the card to Andrea. Lynx keep on answering the questions that he knows the answer to. The last question Andrea had was how did Lynx get the gauntlets. Lynx hesitated to answer at first, then he decides to answer it anyway. "It was a while back, when I was five. An unknown creature attacked the city. Me and dad were in that city that time. Somehow it was able to shatter a hole right through the wall. Dad told me to go hide while he fend off the creature. He fought with all he got, but it was not enough. The creature doesn't seem to tire at all. My dad was really tired. He was about to be attacked. I shouted. It caught the creatures attention. It came after me. I ran as fast as I could but it caught up to me. It slashed at me with it's claws and I shielded myself with my arms. It was painful but when I take a look at my arms and they looked just fine. Then I realized I can't move or feel them at all. It was like they had lost their soul. My dad came and used the forbidden magic to seal the creature inside his necklace. He quickly ran to me to check on my condition. He hurried me home and took me to a secret room under our house. He used some sort of summoning magic and summoned two spirits. One is light and the other one is darkness. My dad then told me, "I'm sorry son. It's not just your arms are lifeless, soon, your entire soul will disappear. This is the only way to save you. By embedding these spirits to your arms, you will be save. I'm sorry." I don't really get why he was apologizing, I didn't really care my arms had spirits embedded in them. The reason I need to wear these are to seal their power. My dad made them myself. If I were to take these off, their powers will be unleashed, and there's a possibility that the world might get destroyed." Andrea is quiet. She didn't know how to react to that. Should she feel sorry for him, or should she fear or respect him for the power he holds. She just don't know. Lynx then said something to reassure Andrea, "Don't worry, it was a long time ago. I'm grateful that I am still alive today. Plus I actually like the fact that I have powers that I cannot use unless there is a really huge problem. So, please rest assured that I am okay and not dangerous." Andrea was relieved to hear him say that. They continue their journey until they have finally reached the city.
