What was it you said that ticked me off
What did you say to trouble me
What was it you said that made me scoff
But later cry uncontrollablyHow did you say it to make me upset
And make me eat ice cream all day
Why did you say it so harshly
That I can't throw it awayWhen did you say this unkindness
It almost feels a year
I simply can't forget it
but somehow I can bearBut then it suddenly clicked to me
Why am I moping over what you said?
It thought you knew
I care for you
The argument's over
No one won the fight
I don't even know
Which one of us was rightI can't believe I did that
But then I remember again
“The way you're going, nobody will like you
You'll be alone ‘til the end.”A.H.
