Fix You

Not the happiest song, I will freely admit. Some of you will probably find it super sad. But to me, it is hopeful still. Especially the chorus. So here's Fix You, by Coldplay.

Enjoy, ya idgits.

When you try your best but you don't succeed

When you get what you want, but not what you need

When you feel so tired but you can't sleep

Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face

When you lose something you can't replace

When you love someone but it goes to waste

Could it be worse?!

Lights will guide you home

and ignite your bones

and I will try to fix you

And high up above or down below

When you're too in love to let it go

But if you never try you'll never know

Just what you're worth

Lights will guide you home

And ignite your bones

And I will try to fix you

~~ musical interlude~~

TEARS STREAM

DOWN YOUR FACE

WHEN YOU LOSE SOMETHING YOU CAN NOT REPLACE

TEARS STREAM

DOWN YOUR FACE

AND I

TEARS STREAM

DOWN YOUR FACE

I PROMISE YOU I WILL LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES

TEARS STREAM

DOWN YOUR FACE

AND I

lights will guide you home

and ignite your bones

and i will try to fix you

This song can be considered just plain depressing.

Hell, almost all the lyrics ARE sad.

But you know what else?

The chorus. It says that the singer is willing to accept the listener for who they are, and still mend any parts of the heart that is broken.

That means a hell of a lot to someone who has had their heart broken before, but now has people who they truly believe won't break their heart.

Who won't break their soul,

Because those people that you truly have, people like I've mentioned in You Are Not Alone, they will bring you home because a home doesn't have to be a house and a family doesn't have to be related.

You will find your family.

And, if you ask them to, they will fix you. Because you are hope to them, just as much as they are hope to you.
