La'Jaih.

My eyes flicked wide open due to the succulent smell of breakfast, and the sound of Aunt Shay blasting Keyshia Cole through her sound system, I stretched yawning getting out of bed.
My room was perfect, I would of never imagined Shay would go to the extreme by decorating and buying new furniture for my sake but she did - and I'm honestly grateful.

Shay: Afternoon baby girl, sleep well?

I nodded taking a slice of fried plantain she'd just fried.

Shay: So my friend, Shanice is coming shopping with us today

I rolled my eyes nodding again.

Shay: And you start College next week Monday just to remind you

I smiled sitting around the table whilst she dished out my food.

Shay: Don't take too long, want to be out the house in the next hour and a half okay?
Me: Yeah

I replied before drinking my cherry homemade cool-aid she just made. As she left I turned on the television, yeah? I didn't understand myself why she had a 32 inch TV in the kitchen too, but everyone has their own unique way of life. It looked nice and classy if I must say so myself.

I was dressed in my black leggings a white vest top with my black leather jacket, with my white low cut converses. As for my hair, I didn't care much on styling it, so I pulled it back in one.

Once I was dressed I walked into the living room to see Aunt Shay, her friend and young male.

Shay: You ready hunny?

She asked me standing up with her hands on her thighs.

Me: Yeah
Shay: This is Shanice one of my good friend and her son Terez

She introduced us, the boy seemed to have this attitude about him and didn't even bother to say hello, however his mother on the other hand walked over and gave me a big hug complementing on my beauty.

Shay: Ok, let's hit the road!

Aunt Shay said throwing her hands in the air smiling, I smiled back walking out the house and into the back of her range rover. All throughout the journey I couldn't help but notice the sound of teeth being kissed from Shanice's son, the sudden minute of him looking at his phone.

Shay: So, H&M?

She asked as we could see the eye catching sign from afar, Terez spoke to his Mum then walked off in the opposite direction. Shanice came and linked arms with me as we walked into the clothes store.

Terez: F*ck off, f*ck off, f*ck off-

He cursed all in about one second.

Terez: Your always calling, texting my phone like I oe you something. Leave me alone

Shanice looked at him raising her eyebrows.

Shanice: Is that who I think it is?
Terez: Yeah

He rudely replied, stuffing his phone into his pockets.

Shanice: Why answer Rez, why not ignore her? Trouble with you is that you always give in to her, she cheats on you, you cheat on her and you just get back together like nothings ever happened. I invited you with me today to get her off your mind, enjoy yourself a little but I guess I'm failing-

We had been shopping for the past 2 hours and we were hungry so we chose to go nandos, we waited patiently in the line for available seats in the restaurant.

Terez: Its not even that- Arghhh

He grunted walking away standing from a distant from us. I'm glad I hadn't spoken to him properly because he looked like he was suffering from sort of domestic within his relationship, which was obvious and just seemed to have personal issues he needed to deal with.

Shay: Kim?

Aunt Shay asked Shanice.

Shanice: Yes, Kimbella - that girl is constantly stressing him. You know she just recently had the baby, like 2 months ago right? Tells Rez its his and when DNA results come in - because I suggested he should make sure that the child was his; can't trust anything that girl says, we find out he's not the father; which only means she cheated on him whilst they were together-

I could hear the fury in her voice as she explained what I found "horrific" situation her son was in to myself and Aunt Shay.

Shanice: I'm so angry Shay, I just feel to rip her face off and then demand that she leaves my son alone!!

She moaned, as the line got shorter.

Shay: Isn't he still in love with her?
Shanice: Yes, and he's a fool! You know what? I don't want to discuss anymore of this bullsh*t today is all about fun, La'Jaih's day right?

She said smiling at me, I smiled back watching Terez walk back over to us. So he did have so form of domestic going on in his relationship huh? Why waste his time on what sounds like a useless girl when he's so handsome?

Shanice: You okay now son?

He nodded spitting on the pavement, I screwed up my face in disgust then turned my head.

Shay: So La'Jaih, you do know the College you'd be starting on Monday is the same one Terez goes to?
Me: No, but so?

I didn't care how rude I sounded, I knew me and this boy wasn't going to get along even if I tried.

Shay: I'm sure Terez wouldn't mind showing you around?
Terez: Actually I would you know-

I stared at him long and hard before I diverted my attention back onto my food that laid in front of me.

Shanice: Don't be so rude-

Shanice said slapping him in his chest.

Terez: I wasn't even trying to be you know-

You could hear the sarcasm in his voice so from that - I put my headphones in blasting my music on the highest volume sound. At home I went straight up to my bedroom packing away my clothes, Shay and Shanice had decided they'd make dinner which wouldn't be served until later.

Even though I wanted to go into the front room, I chose not to due to Terez being in there. I actually didn't see the point of him being here, why couldn't he like- go away? Jump off london bridge, lay down in the middle of the road and then wait for the nearest truck or bus to run him over! I honestly didn't care I just wanted him out my home with his bad vibes.

My door knocked half way through watching the new series of Desperate Housewives online, I looked up giving the person permission to come in, to my surprise it was Terez, what did he want?

Me: Yes?

I asked rudely. Didn't see why I should behave kind and friendly towards him when he seems so cold hearted.

Terez: Shay sent me up, said I should keep you company

He spoke, my left eyebrow raised looking at him weirdly.

Me: Thanks, but no thanks I don't need no company I have my own and that's good enough!

I then turned my attention back to the laptop screen, expecting him to leave but he didn't. Instead he closed in the door seating himself beside me on my bed, comfortable much? I didn't bother say anything because I knew he wanted to get an reaction from me that I wasn't in the mood to give, when I was watching my program.

Terez: What's this your watching?

He asked, I looked at him; ignoring his question then continued to watch my show.

Terez: Rude much?

He said kissing his teeth. And he could do that again, matter of fact he could kiss his teeth another ten times not like it would affect me, actually it might cause me to kick him out my room, then out the house; that way he can conclude his domestic relationship with Kim- what's her face.

His phone started to ring and he quickly answered on the second ring.

Terez: Yes Taela?
...
Terez: Nashay's
...
Terez: Yeah, bye

I looked at him not that it was any of my business who he was on the phone, but I'm sure I heard what sounded like a female's voice say she was on her way.

Terez: My twin sister, Letaela

I nodded with my eyebrows raised, I didn't know he was twin - but was I suppose to? We didn't even get to have a proper conversation for us to find out more about one an others background. Shanice had twins, a boy and a girl and she still looked good and young, amazing!

Courtney: Here we go again!

Courtney said throwing his hands in the air, looking at me then looking at Major who laughed.

Courtney: He's started with his heartbroken sh*t again, what went wrong now?
Me: She's gone

I quietly spoke, switching the channel and putting on friday the 13th. This is what I've been doing since La'Jaih left, I haven't spoken to Bianca and surprisingly she hasn't harassed me by calling my phone every five seconds. I know she's only been gone for just about a day but its still affected me in a huge way, I actually miss her.

Major: Gone where?

Major asked sitting beside me, whilst Courtney drew the curtains so sunlight could reflect through the room.

Me: Man, she's moved. She's living with her Aunt in Manchester
Courtney: She is coming back right?

Courtney smirked, sitting on the other side of me.

Me: Nah, she's transferred college's as well
Courtney: Now that's some sh*t, she's sexy!

I didn't understand what La'Jaih's sex appeal had anything to do with the situation that I'm in, missing her.

Me: Shut up!

I snapped at Courtney, I kept telling him stop looking at her like that.

Courtney: Why? Its not my fault she's sexy
Me: Stop talking about my- my-

I sighed not continuing the sentence, merely because I couldn't. What was I to say, my girl? She isn't my girl because our relationship, or should I say past relationship wasn't official.

Courtney: Exactly, your nothing- you had the chance to lock things off with Bianca but yet you didn't and still haven't which I struggle to understand why?

I rolled my eyes increasing the volume on the television, I didn't need this. I didn't even invite them round, I wanted to be alone, alone with just my thoughts and searching away to make things right with La'Jaih.

Courtney: Don't answer then, don't blame me when another man takes her interest

Major slightly slapped Courtney in the back of his head, telling him to drop the topic so we could watch the film in peace and quiet.   La'Jaih.

Letaela: Hello, as you may already know I'm Letaela but you can call me Taela
Me: Hey!

I replied back, after she introduced herself to me.

Letaela: Oh and Rez?

She called, pushing him on his left arm.

Terez: Yeah?
Letaela: Kim came round mums house looking for you, she said she's been trying to call you non-stop
Terez: I know, I turned off my phone
Letaela: Well, she's wants to talk to you
Terez: We live together for f*cks sake, do I really have a choice?

Taela raised both her eyebrows smiling at me. As we spoke more I got to know her much better and vice versa, Terez was more engrossed on what played on the laptop screen than our conversation. She attended the same college I was going to on monday, so she suggested that she'd pick me up in the morning, Terez was older than her by 5 minutes however she behaved like the older sibling as she was by far the most mature between the both of them. Overall she seemed like a really nice person, someone who I could get along with.

An hour later Aunt Shay and Shanice announced dinner was ready, I hadn't noticed time flew by so quickly; it was 8 o'clock already. We ate around the table watching 'Two can play at that game' enjoying the food the both of them prepared.

I actually have a good feeling about my new life in Manchester. :)






2 Weeks Later.


I sat down listening and watching them argue, Terez and Kimbella. Taela sat next me not saying a word I think this was all normal to her as it was all new and fascinating to me -  to sit down and observe this.

Terez: Carry on with that lip and see what I do, you keep provoking me!

He warned. Shanice had bought a 3 bedroom apartment for Terez and Taela to share, however Terez made the wrong decision in telling Kimbella she could move in, which I didn't understand seeing as she cheated on him and had a child. Their relationship confused me dearly, but as Taela would say 'it isn't my concern so I'd stay out of it, if I was you'

Kimbella: F*ck you Rez, you f*cking bastard! You make me sick!

Kimbella shouted throwing punches at Terez's back, the baby in the carrier sucking her dummy watching her mother and- well I don't know what to call Terez so I'd say, watching her mother and the 'boyfriend' fight. Before Kimbella could throw another punch, Terez's hand landed in her face, in the form of a punch. Kim dropped to the floor crying, Taela jumped up tending to her whilst I chased after Terez who had stormed out the house.

I quickly got into his car before he drove off, he reversed and drove off after I got in driving in the opposite direction. His face screwed up, his breathing deep, real deep like he could kill someone.

Me: Calm down

I said, touching his hand.

He stopped the car in a parking space, slowly calming down.

Me: What was that Terez?

Throughout the two weeks of knowing Terez I've noticed he had a slight anger problem that he refused to deal with. I can honestly say he wouldn't dare hit me, not that I would accept it but I'm also aware that he hasn't ever hit Taela nor any other family member, now Kimbella on the other hand? He had to make an exception because she was different.

Me: I mean, you do love her right?

He shrugged leaning back, I turned up the heating because I was cold; seeing as I ran out the house in just a short sleeve top.

Me: You do, I know you do and you know you do, so why do you keep treating her like that?
Terez: She's a b*tch La'Jaih, its just- you don't know, she does things to get me angry
Me: Yeah but like I said, why do you treat her like sh*t?
Terez: Because she f*cking deserves it
Me: Really? No-one deserves to be treated like that, how would you feel if someone treated Tae like sh*t?
Terez: I'll f*cking kill him!
Me: Exactly! So, why treat Kim like that?
Terez: Because-

He said, that wasn't a valid answer you can't just treat someone like sh*t because you want to, that just isn't right! I personally think he hasn't gotten over her cheating on him, not to mention she hasn't only just cheated on him once but has done so in the past. What I don't understand is, why he's still with her?






So... What do u guys think of Terez? And don't get any funny idea's that her & him are going to get together because u don't know that! Looooool! And... Kimbella, you guys like her much?
Amahli? Oh and sorry for my mistakes if there is any, I didn't read over I was too anxious to update it and if it wasn't for my friend Angel I wouldn't have updated this till later on next week...
