i stared at the message -not sure what to say exactly. it's true i missed frank, i feel bad for leaving him and for not talking to him in ten years. i still think about all we went through and it doesn't hurt me as much; but i do still care deeply about him, i realised, staring at his message. i was suprised i could find confidence in asking him such a simple thing. whether i stumbled upon the name by accident or on purpose, i knew it would be worth it.

even though Gerard clearly couldn't see me right now, i was a mess of happy tears and big smiles. i had missed him so much, and found the strong tug at my heart that said i did still love him.
