Louis' POV
I heard it before I saw it. The soft, controlled breathing and the gentle thump of the heartbeat under my ear were almost enough to lull me back to sleep. I opened my eyes but didn't move, feeling Liam's arms around me. I smiled and looked up at his face before realizing he slept sitting up. I shook his shoulder gently, trying to wake him up.
"Liam. It's time to get up." I said, moving out of his embrace with some reluctance. He slowly opened his eyes and yawned, stretching his arms and legs like a cat.
"Sleep well?" He asked, cracking his neck. I winced at the sound but nodded.
"Sorry you had to sleep sitting up. You could've moved me." I said, getting out of the bed and grabbing some clothes from a suitcase by the foot of the bed. "You looked peaceful and I didn't want to disturb you. Besides isn't that what couples do?" He asked getting up as well.
"Yeah I guess." I said, shrugging. "Well since we have a day off here, I figured we could go do something outside today." I said, pulling off the shirt I had on and putting on the clean one. "Y-Yeah that's fine." He said, turning around. Is he blushing? He is! "Such a prude LiLi." I said laughing as I continued to get dressed. He blushed even harder, grabbing some clothes and walking into the bathroom, slamming the door. "Today is going to be fun." I thought to myself as I slipped on sneakers. Liam came out of the bathroom ten minutes later, dressed and ready to go. "Come on." He said, holding out his hand. I took it and together We walked out of the room and down the hall into the elevators. "You're gonna hate me for this but there's fans outside. Got to make you look presentable." He said, before messing up my hair and pulling on my shirt. "Pinch your cheeks a bit. We're gonna make it look like we just had a make out session in the elevator." I rolled my eyes but did as he said, right as the doors opened. I smiled sheepishly at him, grabbing his hand as camera flashes and screams went off all around us. "Ready?" He asked me for the second time since this happened. I nodded and took a deep breath. "Ready." As we left the hotel, I kept my head held high and Liam's hand tightly in mine
